How did you start?

I started doing YouTube because I've always wanted my my own platform to do me. Growing up people would tell me I'm gonna be on tv someday or you should be on tv. I knew how hard that is to achieve besides its not really my thing. With YouTube you have creative expression and you're the boss one day someone could come along and discover you and your truth then next thing you know I'm living my dream

I do it because its really fun seeing how many views i get and what comments i get. And in general just making the video!

Personally, I love to make videos for people to watch because I want to entertain people and put myself out there!
I was inspired by Markiplier. I feel like I hold a similar personality to him, but I'm quite shy.

I do YouTube most of all because I love making videos and telling stories. Graphic Design and Video Editing are some of my favorite hobbies so of course I put my videos and stuff up on YouTube.

Another reason I do YouTube is because I feel that social media has a huge impact on people's lives and perspectives and I know there are plenty of people who give negative perspectives and who discourage people. I want to be the type of channel that people can come to, to feel lifted up either by laughing or just from encouragement that I try to give to people.

Eventually I want to have my own tv network and YouTube is a great starting place so I'm working on my skills and growing a fanbase before anything else.

I youtube for several reasons. 1. It helps to balance out my social anxiety/depression and 2. I can't think of a cooler concept than daily Vlogging. I tagline my youtube account as "A ****** up re-make of How I Met Your Mother", but in theory it's true. Twenty-six, heart broken, single and alone.... I have hope that won't always be the case and filming the process has proven to be pretty eye opening. I re-started the VLOG a little bit ago and private the majority (nearly a hundred) of the old VLOGs... They were from 2015. Friends who watched the VLOG daily penned the group of people I hung out with a ton as "the VLOG squad". Come 2016, one of the most active friends part of that whole thing is somebody who's friendship with me has faded out (Not over a disagreement or anything, that's just how life goes sometimes...) so already, to look back and actually literally see the changes that occur in one's life in the span of a year is pretty damn remarkable.

Because it gives me feeling that i am satisfied with all that.. When i go to Youtube and upload a new video, i get happy, and even happier when i see that people are watching my videos. I love helping others and making videos that will help people learn something. I don't record in English, but also i place captions on English languages on some of my videos so some people that are not from my country and don't speak my language can understand what am i saying. I give my best to record quality content :)

I youtube because it is something I truly enjoy doing. Not only that it is fun trying to gain an audience as well it makes the journey all the more satisfying. It isn't easy putting time in on videos but once I have that feeling of completion the satisfaction is great.

I guess I do it because I just like to show people stuff that I like!! I really was kind of a softspoken kid and shy but this has really helped me open up!! I really enjoy the time that I get to spend with my Dad who helps me do the editing and thumbnails and stuff that is a little complicated that I'm still trying to learn!! I really love doing my hobbies and sharing them with everyone on YouTube hopefully I get to reach out to a lot of people and entertain them in some way!!

I do it because I want to see this in 10 years and build friends along the way!

This question has been asked several times on the forum and I would like to explain my answer in a little bit of detail:

Youtube has changed me. Before I began my channel early this year, I was an extremely camera shy person with a big inferiority complex. I was convinced to do this by another Youtuber who makes really good vlogs and is extremely comfortable in front of the camera. Being a Youtube personality really appealed to me and I wanted to give it a try not so much to be rich or famous, but to conquer my insecurities.

It was a big step for me because I didn’t quite know how to begin. I had a camera and a hobby but my biggest problem was, and sometimes still is, how to avoid getting tongue tied when the red light is blinking. My first few videos were awful. So awful that they never made it onto my Youtube channel. The first few videos that I did upload are better but still not great.

As I filmed more and more, the videos got better but I concede they still could use improvement. My very first uploaded video, which is my Homemade Doughnuts was the scariest because I filmed the first part of it in a public place (the gym) with a bunch of people, some I knew, others I didn’t standing around watching me. I planned it out a week in advance and even remembered a brief script in my head. I would recite the script out loud in my car while driving everyday until I got it right. It was a success. It was a huge step in overcoming the awkwardness we all feel about filming in public. I still go back and watch that video because I believe it was a turning point for me.

The biggest change is that the camera shyness is completely gone. In fact, I now love being in front of the camera and willing to do things I would never consider doing in the past such as dancing, wearing NO makeup, and acting like a clown. I can’t see myself not doing this because I’m really having so much fun now.

That is why I Youtube
