I do it because I enjoy entertaining people. Even though I only have 32 subscribers it feels good to know that people like my work. I would say 25 of the people I dont even know so it's nice to see that people are giving me an honest opinion and enjoying it. Even when I had 5 subscribers i loved each of them. Also to see the growth that I made since my first video has been great.

I know exactly what you mean. I have 13 subscribers (Which I JUST realized when signing up to this site lol) and it's a bit embarrassing to be honest but I love every one of them as if they were a close friend. It's kind of weird thinking people wanna watch you, but at the same time it's humbling and empowering. Makes me feel like maybe I am doin something right, even though I feel like my channel is a mess lol.

I do it because i try find myself. And youtube for me like life lessons. It's great lessons.I study here.Сhannel management, promotion video, work as creator and editor.Invaluable experience.

The reason I do YouTube is because my greatest joy in life is to make others happy, even if I end up doing something cringe or something horrible like the Vegemite challenge (BEING AUSTRALIA DOESN'T HELP!) it doesn't matter to me, at the end of the day I'm happiest when I know I've made others smile. Call me weird but hey that's me.

I youtube because it is something that I put off doing for years. Finally a couple of weeks back I just decided to finally do it.
Same thing for me, It was six years ago.. I stumbled across a video by Pewdiepie. And it made me laugh... and I thought to myself: "if only I could be that entertaining". At the time, I had just gone through a bad breakup and let's just say I didn't have the best opinion of myself at that point. I didn't think it was worth trying.
Anyway, back to the present.. I finally decided that I had to change. I want to be more engaging, more expressive, so I got myself a webcam, looked into softwares for screen capture and just went for it. I'm still getting used to trying to perform for the camera, and I'm trying out and learning new things as I go. It's a constant struggle.

I'm going to be honest with my response... I originally began YouTube for the cash. But let me tell you something, being a you -tuber has given me new found respect for content creators and has changed my viewpoint on being a Youtuber. Now, I Youtube not for the money, but for fun and the satisfaction of knowing that I am contributing to a site that has been such an important part of my life. That is why I Youtube.

At first I started YouTube just to try it out. I was totally oblivious of the feeling it gives you. I was a bit naive at the entire thing. It was only after some time of doing it I saw how much it became a part of me. I wanted to do it more and more. Now due to external events I am taking a break from YouTube and I miss every day of it. Seeing so many people's lives change from YouTube is really inspiring indeed. Thanks everyone who shared their YouTube stories. I do YouTube because it challenges me to be creative and to step out of the quiet, shy circle that I live in and be more extroverted.
