I started out youtube in december 2015 doing terrible ms paint animations for me and my friends can just have a quick laugh lol you can see my first vid 'johnny lights action' but after 2016 my brother introduced me to dank memes boi. i loved them lel hence i made my first mlg video. (which was terrible tbh)

so basicly the main answer is: just for a top kek m8

For personal gratification. I've always loved movies and now it's a fantastic tool to be able to make my own. We live in a great time.

Aw man reading all these responses makes me well happy seeing why everyone has their own stories and reasons.

Personally I do it as a creative outlet to hone my cinematography skills and to document my progression as a longboarder and traceur. It gives me a place to share my storries, to share others stories and to showcase what i can do. I love my channel and my content.

I started youtube in 2007 and spent years trying every style there is, but i can finally say i am 100% happy with the content i make. Guess im just a traveler at heart. Youtube helped me discover who i am.

thats my story

I do youtube because i love making videos and gaming and i want to show the world how good of a gamer i am. Not just a gamer but an entertainer as well. I see other people literally playing video games as there job and i hope one day i can play video games which is my Passion and be successful as well as being happy of what i am doing.

I would have never started my newest ( and I hope the last channel) if not one competition.
I found out that one famous rapper announced competition where I needed to write rap lyrics and make a song/ song video. I am kind of shy person..but I am so into rap..and it was my chance to shine. I did it..
And my friends saw it.. all of them said that it was really good and started telling me that i can't stop now and that i need to make more videos. I was really shy at first, but well..with their support I started making more songs both rap and lyrical. and now I am where I am today.. :)

I like making videos. I love riding dirt bikes. I don't this there should be anything else said. I post videos online, so I could watch them later. Mostly I post videos for myself. But I have noticed, there are people that like my bad editing skills :D

I YouTube because I want to help people that may need encouragement. I too was very shy. I think, for me, that the idea of inspiring someone was much greater than the fear of how I looked on the screen. I can remember searching for life advice and ideas while thinking "I can do this". Then I started to read more books, initiate more conversations and started my blog.

Although I want to inspire the world, I use the videos I make to inspire myself as well. I also know that I need a lot of practice and can definitely use improvement. However, I am willing to put in the necessary time to make my channel a success.

One step at a time.

I do YouTube because it gives me a sense of satisfaction. In my life, I've hit a place in which I have nothing going on in my life other than my projects. Because of my music career, this is another reason I do YouTube. I upload my music there and such so that way people can listen on there and not just on my Soundcloud. Since I decided to come back to YouTube, since I had made videos prior to my current channel, I've decided to branch out and make other types of videos, though it's nothing like I use to make. And having a sense of satisfaction and having boredom was what made me do YouTube when I first started back in 2010. YouTube can change people, for good or for bad. I feel like I only grew more because of YouTube. It does people the confidence that they need in life.

I definitely agree with you. I have found that my confidence level has definitely gone up! However, we are to stay grounded and continue to better ourselves. - Nesha[DOUBLEPOST=1469382127][/DOUBLEPOST]
I do it because it's fun! It's a creative outlet and a place to say/do what you want. I love creating videos and I love watching videos!
Absolutely fun! I will definitely visit your channel - Nesha
