I've Got It
One of the think that I have learned is the shorter the video the better, between 2 to 3 minutes is the best. Videos longer than that need to be very well prepared and edited, with a good content.
Use the boredom test (I will just copy and paste it from my other thread answer):
We usually make the boredom test. When the movie is almost ready I give it to my wife to watch it. Her only task is to click (make a mark) on the time track any time she feels bored. After that I just cut off all the marked sections.
PS. If you do not have wife you can use any other person who is not afraid to tell you that your movie sucks (obviously do not use smaller siblings or anybody who is strongly dependent on you or you may receive only positive comments - not very useful!)
This is such a great tip. Do you think it's beneficial to put a tag for "[movie] movie review" and put other tags like [movie name], review, movie, movie review?[DOUBLEPOST=1421247865][/DOUBLEPOST]Tag tip: If you are doing a review of anything, ie. movies, games, dog food add the tag: [name of thing being reviewed] review. I do movie reviews and only added the title of the movie in the tag. But never added the movie name + movie review. For example = "Guardians of the Galaxy movie review". Once I did this, I started to see more views.

Look at the camera, this may be a silly one but it makes you appear more confident when looking straight into the camera ..... dont forget to blink tho
Intros are not needed. They usually just waste time and make the viewers impatiently wait until the video actually starts.
AMEN to this! Keep the negativity to yourself.[DOUBLEPOST=1421248582][/DOUBLEPOST]Be kind to everyone, no matter if you enjoy their video or not
with vlogging - I would recommend that you buy some sort of notepad and take it with you wherever you go to write ideas for your vlogs and than make a script out of it (that's what I do)
you wouldn't want to have a brilliant idea in your head during lunch at college and than forget about it when you go home
Never lose hope when your starting off, you won't grow huge over night Keep it up and do what you love
Go to YouTube conventions and gatherings, it's the best place to make new connections and friends. Once you find a solid group of people that enjoy the same things you do, it will be easier and more fun to make videos.
