with vlogging - I would recommend that you buy some sort of notepad and take it with you wherever you go to write ideas for your vlogs and than make a script out of it (that's what I do)

you wouldn't want to have a brilliant idea in your head during lunch at college and than forget about it when you go home

Be passionate about what content you are making for your channel. For example you are doing a channel on cooking but you hate then you don`t have the passionate about the subject content for that channel. Be passionate about what like to do on your channel that is one tip many forget.

I forgot to think about that when I bought my camera as well. That flip screen would have been really useful for my AV class
