Try to keep a journal to write down video ideas or scripts. I personally try to keep a few pre-written so I'll always have stuff for my upcoming videos

Check to see if your computer has built in editing software. In 2008, I made unedited videos because I didn't know my computer had Windows Movie Maker built in until a year a half later. Then in 2015 I still didn't learn my lesson because for over two years I owned a laptop and didn't even know it had Power Director built in. Learn from my mistakes.

Also, even if your computer doesn't have that software built in; there are tons of free software online. Can't do a lot with it, but you can start to make videos with it.
