Goals for 2016:

Youtube Goals:
- Reach atleast 150 subscribers, 200 would be even better.
- Reach 10-15k views
- Deliver more quality content, preferably more tutorials with speach.
- Get a new Camera (Nikon D5300, currently saving up)
- Get better at editing

Juggling Goals:
- Learn to juggle 9 balls.
- Learn to sustain 7 balls better.
- More 5 and 6 ball tricks
- Get better at clubs
- Make an act that is even more worth telling about.

Being that it's very early in the year, what are all your goals for your channel this year? Here are mine:

1) Make a viral video
2) Possibly change to a new style of videos, maybe even making a second channel for more focused stuff
3) Get another video on TV

Good question.

I think a lot in football (or soccer) analogies. And when I do they seem to make a lot of sense to me.

So when I first read your question I started thinking about a sub number but then I had a thought.

Instead of thinking about winning the league my focus will be to win every match. That would be try to perfect every video in all aspects. (Learn something new each week, check analytics and feedback and try to improve that little bit each time). The idea, the delivery, the sound, the music, the seo, titles, thumbnails, my brand etc. If I keep winning every match then I would naturally have all of the other additions that come with it. Ie subscribers, a community, opportunities etc.

As Will Smith says

You dont set out to build a wall.
You dont say, im going to build the biggest, baddest wall that's ever been built.
You don't start there.
You say, i'm gonna lay this brick, as perfectly as a brick can be laid.
You do that every single day.
Then soon you have a wall.

I think I will go into it with that mindset.

If there is a number that interests me its 5000 subscribers as it is the requirement for most of the courses at the YouTube space London and to hire out rooms to film etc.

By the end of the year I would like to:
Have some kind of engaged community (based on comments and interaction more than sub count)
Have cool videos I can look back on, be proud of and eager to share with people.

Good luck with your goals muchito!
Maybe I will see one of your dog videos on the news here lol.

My YouTube goals are:

1. Post a new video every week.
I posted my first video of 2016 yesterday (it's in my signature) and that was 6 days after the last one, so I'm doing alright for now! I've only got 17 or so videos on my channel and I want to offer more than that when people visit my channel, so I'm looking to get a schedule going and hopefully that'll draw in a bigger crowd.

2. Do more collaborations.
I've been meaning to work with more YouTubers, simply because I get really nervous about meeting people in person and I'd like to overcome that this year. I'd also like to expand my set of skills and my network, while making new friends because I am a cliche and I sound like someone you meet at summer camp.

3. Reach 1,000 subscribers by the end of this year.
1,000 people is a heck of a lot, and the thought of having that many people watching me sounds awesome! I really want to share my strange mix of "comedy" and education with the world, because everyone deserves to learn stuff and feel happy every once in a while.

4. Have more confidence in myself.
Because of years of bullying and self-esteem issues (sob story, blah blah blah), I've become excessively paranoid when it comes to people's impression of me. I spent ages trying to be someone I'm not and following a script waaaaay too much, but I've since decided that I'm just not having any fun by doing that. Since then, the walls have come down brick by brick and I've become more relaxed in front of the camera and trusted my gut instead of what I think people will like.

Seriously, if you really want to enjoy yourself on YouTube, please remain as true to yourself as you can possibly be. It's the thing you're best at.

that is the key, be yourself. I post weird stuff if I feel like it because, well, I'm sort of weird. My girlfriend's boss is subscribed to me, so I'm sure he sees some of my stuff and gives her weird looks about it lol, but that's just who I am.

By the end of 2016 I want to have 20,000 subscribers. This may be a bit high, but I have noticed that when people stick with it, they tend to make goals like this.
Yeah I guess it's better to aim high so you'll work harder.
If it comes short, it's better than aiming low and it's too attainable, the motivation may not be quite there.
Well really depends on the type of personality you have.

So my channel was created on the 6th November 2015 and at the time i didn't know what to expect in terms of goals so set a small 25 subs by the end of 2015. After a few video uploads & Subs rolling in i realized i had sold myself short and went for the target off 100 subs and 2000 views.

I absolutely smashed the subs as just before the countdown (sad i know) i checked my YouTube and had 301 Subscribers! Still now im absolutely ecstatic about the response i have had on my channel especially when you take into account im a gaming channel (not like YouTube doesn't have enough :p) So i have been thinking about 2016 targets. Im hoping to gain 1000 subs between now and 2017. Bringing me up to 1333 but my main target is to stay motivate, continue to love making videos and having fun along the way. Hopefully the rest will come after that.

Hope all you guys smashed your targets and are looking forward to what 2016 brings.
