Always reply to comments and build a community! I love getting to know people who watch my videos and I don't stay long on channels that don't have any interest on replying to comments.

When your channel is new, take your time to experiment with what works and what doesn't.

And don't obsess over how many views or subscribers you have. It will send you mental. Just focus on making the best content you can

Make friends, not enemies. Be friendly to people who comment on your videos, be genuine with your subscribers. Most of all, if you don't like a video, or a youtuber, or something someone said, just leave. There is no point in starting an argument in a video's comment section because the youtuber said "God doesn't exist."

Use a remote to focus your DSLR and make life easier on you each time you want to record.

Try to find a niche. You have more chance to find active and loyal subscribers in that way.

Don't assume that other youtubers are better people than non youtubers just because they have the same interests as you. there are alot of people in the community that will use you and once they got what they want will throw you away like a piece of trash.

If you don't have a tripod use a chair or cupboard or create a stand for yourself.
