I also have goals like number of views and subscribers in my mind. But these goals are output measures, which are not 100% in my control. I can influence them via my actions and the content quality, but there are lots of other factors having an impact on this. Therefore, I wouldn't hook myself to these external goals.
The internal goals, which is also called "in-process measures", are the ones where I want to focus on. These are 100% in my control. If I can reach these goals, there is a high probability that I reach my views and subscriber goals as well.

- # of videos uploaded: at least 30
- Quality of content: Audience retention at least >40%
- SEO: At least 20 mins time per video to find right tags
- Description: At least 200 words description in accordance with tags and title for each video
- Social Networks: Post videos on Facebook, Twitter and Google+. Post eeach video in at least 20 groups.
- Reddit: Learn about how reddit works. Try to get at least 10 views per video from Reddit.
- YTtalk: Active participation. Post on average one message per day.
- Learning: Listen all the podcasts from TubeTalk and D.I.Y. Video guy. Watch Premiere Pro tutorials on YouTube.
- Marketing: Talk to all the parents I know and convince them to subscribe to my channel
- Channel design: Make a trailer, improve logo and banner.
