What does everyone use for editing?

iMovie - mainly because it's simple to use.. unfortunately it does have it's limitations!

Been hearing a lot about Final Cut Pro.. does anyone know how similar it is to iMovie?

I use Sony Vegas Pro, it has everything I need for my videos.

I use adobe premiere pro. I've also used sony vegas, however if you want to do more advanced stuff vegas isn't as good.

I use hitfilm express 3 its free and it really works for me. It is really high quality and i like the interface. If your looking for a free editing program i would really recommend it.

I still use Movie Studio Platinum. I'm too cheap for Vegas. Not really sure what Vegas adds to Movie Studio, but I like it and I have HitFilm 2 for all my dumb needs. I use Movie Studio 12 but recently bought 13. 13 is more annoying to use in some ways while being more stable in others, so I actually go back and forth.

Pinnacle Studio 19 and Pinnacle for iPad.

Currently using Sony Vegas Pro 13 for video and Audacity for audio. Sometimes I`ll switch over to Adobe Premier CC for video editing if Sony Vegas starts acting up.
