I used to use Premiere Pro, but when I changed from PC to Mac, I decided to change over to Final Cut X. I feel Final Cut is probably easier for beginners as basic editing seems easier to do, but I'm thinking of changing back to Premiere as I feel you can do more with it.

I also use Final Cut Pro X! I don't mind it too much. I've gotten used to it although I feel like there are better software out there.

I've used most of the free editing programs out there. I started out with Windows Movie Maker, and it was good to start out everything. But it ended up glitching out once I made a ton of cuts (Since I cut up my videos unless it is a game like Undertale). Then I tried out others like Pinnacle and Lightworks, but it didn't seem like it worked for me. But then I found Hitfilm 3 Express, which is the free version of Hitfilm 4. Probably the best free editing program. :D Lots of built-in effects built in. I've been using it for a year now and I wouldn't trade it for another free version. :p

Hi again. I wanted to make my channel intro today so I had to use Audacity to record my voice over and to combine it with some royalty free music. Next, I used avidemux to cut clips of gameplay footage, then introduced the audio track over the video. All in all pretty user friendly I must say, for someone who is completely new.

I use iMovie on my phone and mac but i also have an hp that I would like to potentially use the only problem is my hp is basically an antique and I can't get movie maker to work on it any more so I don't know what software to use on it. I really love iMovie and I'm really not sure if getting another software for video editing is even worth it does anyone have an opinion on this?

Just recently I purchased a program called Wondershare Filmora. While somewhat linear, the program has a ton of options to choose from for overlays and effects on your videos, even including the option to use green screen! It isn't too pricey, coming in around $50 for a lifetime license. I have been a pretty big fan of it since it basically allows me to do all my edits and encoding with only one software.

I just use iMovie ahaha. the most intense editing I do is changing my voice for an effect or using a filter for the same reason. but besides that all I do is cut out the bad parts. gets the job done and it's free! but if you use iMovie I recommend that you don't use the music (I have, yikes) or one of the word overlays because when anyone else uses them I look at it and immediately know they use iMovie. we need people to think we use high quality editing! lol
