Imovie here. I'm a newb doing basic editing so it works. I've made a pretty high quality (in my opinion ) music video with it, and some really not so good videos with it. All about if you know what you're doing really.

I'm using Videopad free and wavepad free

You should try Camtasia Studio, very easy to use and navigate around. It's as simple as import media, drag the file onto a layer, and from there it's very easy. Not once do i have a problem, it's very efficient. Although it's costly, you can go through the free trial.

Adobe Premier Pro is my personal favorite.

But i do dabble in Avid and final cut when i'm at university. I just find Premiers interface the easiest to work with for the same result.

Hey dude. If the type of videos you are making on youtube don't really need that much editing or you just want to add a picture or something to your video there is nothing wrong with Windows Movie Maker. If you videos need a lot of editing and you want to add special effects and stuff and if your videos aren't as simple to make I suggest either Sony Vegas Pro 13 or Adobe Premiere. I, myself use Vegas because Premiere is too complicated.

I recently transitioned from iMovie to Final Cut Pro and I'm loving it! It's so much more precise when cutting the footage. And there is so much more I can do, I am in literal heaven right now! I can't wait to try out some new things! Test my limits!

i for one use Adobe Premiere Pro and have used it for about a year now and i am slowly getting better at it i really sucked when i first start but practice makes perfect right :)
