I use Camtasia Studio 8. I absolutely love it. The only bad experience that I've had with it is that it had been crashing when I put long videos in it, like 20+ minute videos. Other than that, it has a recording tool built in, which is pretty convenient for YouTubers.
 
I use VSDC at the moment, though I'm thinking about installing Linux in my secondary editing computer so that I can try out OpenShot. So far VSDC is the only free editor I've found that plays nice with my video cameras files that use Dolby Digital audio. That's a paid feature for most other software.
 
I've tried many editors, both free and payed and I'm currently using Adobe Premiere Pro. It does what I need it to do and it does so without costing too much (as I'm paying for it with a monthly subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud which has a whole bunch of software).
