I am in absolute support of a flat fee. Its much easier to pay to play one lump sum, allowing less worry about about a reocurring fee that i have to remember will be removed monthly. Honestly that was something I looked for when looking into upgrading my plan in the future.

Keep up the great work guys,

Arcanum
Thanks for feedback. You now have unlimited access to our tools for the rest of 2015 for your channel to discuss UFO anal-probing which was the topic of a video that I apparently clicked on on your channel. lol

Been using Tube Buddy for the past few days and I can honestly say it's pretty cool. Definitely worth checking out

Can someone please explain to me sunset feature? Why would anyone want to make a video private? I read the explanation on tubebuddy's website but I'm confused why you would still want to do it.[DOUBLEPOST=1448779013,1448778739][/DOUBLEPOST]
I tried. Also sending them an email

if you look at the YouTube TOS it's dated 2010. They haven't updated it.

Most people will never use Sunset Video. Some larger media companies use TubeBuddy and can only show their content during certain dates. For example, they have a contract in place where they can only show a tv show for the month of November. So they can use this tool to hide the video on Dec 1st or something like that. Also, if you create a video telling people that you are live streaming this coming Friday, you might want to take down that video when the livestream starts because it's no longer relevant and would be talking about an old livestream after it happens and might just confuse people.

Oh, that makes sense.

Hey Gang, Phil from TubeBuddy here. You're probably seen our banners around the site before.

We've spent the last 6 months building a really amazing tool for YouTubers that will save you time, get your videos discovered, help you connect with your audience and build your brand on YouTube. It's a browser plugin called TubeBuddy and it integrates directly into YouTube's website.

We've been long-time fans of YTTalk and have a lot of YTTalkers using TubeBuddy so we decided to pay for some advertising here to answer questions, get feedback and chat with our users :)

You can download TubeBuddy for free as well as see a full list of features by visiting

Thanks and looking forward to talking!
Phil
tubebuddy help me put great thumpnails on my videos

That's great! We were very flattered that Derral Eves was such a big fan of ours.

I have a random question for anyone listening. Our "Pro" pricing plan which provides access to many advanced tools (Tag Explorer, Cards / Annotation Templates, Thumbnail Generator Templates, Canned Responses, Default Upload Profiles, etc) has always been priced at $9/month. My question to you is: how much do you hate recurring fees? And would you be more willing to pay a $25 flat fee for something or a $9/monthly recurring fee? Anyone who responds with their thoughts I will give a free unlimited upgrade for the rest of 2015. I'd just really like to get your honest opinion. Thanks!!

I have been a relatively recent lurker to YTTalk, and I just recently got TubeBuddy with the Pro license. What finally pushed me sign up is that I wanted to give feedback on this. How clearly can I put it?

I have a SUPER strong preference for flat fees.

This preference is strong that I recognize that even when it is irrational (e.g., I would pay more with a flat fee than I would with recurring), I prefer the flat fee. (For example, I haaate the Adobe Creative Cloud situation even though I read plenty of analyses when it first came out saying that it was a much better deal to go with monthly subscription than the comparable flat fee costs for CS6 master collection stuff.)

So, I upgraded to Pro. There is almost zero chance I'll go beyond that, even though I like the TubeBuddy features and can see how the ones that are limited at the Pro level might be nice.
