I think an intro would be great! it draws attention and because you're doing videos with pets you're going to be able to open the door to your channel without doing too much!
 
I'm not sure if its a good or bad thing really, I reckon if the intro is too long then it might lose some viewers and they will click away, but a 2 - 3 seconds I would say is fine. :D
 
Outro is much more effective, asking people to sub and like. Intros can get extremely repetitive especially if your binge watching videos.
 
If you really want to, then add one. I've recently added a VERY short intro to my views with just my initials. It's not too flashy, which is helpful as well. Just go with your gut :)
 
I think intros aren't very fun to watch, and you should make sure the first few seconds of your gaming video are unique and interesting. But it can help reinforce branding. I think it works better for tutorial videos, which might get a lot of views but less viewer retention/subscriber growth... but for a gameplay commentary channel, I feel like if you do a variety of games, people will keep coming back for the let's player's personality and not a flashy intro graphic and dubstep.
