When I think there is no intro I think unprofessional videos. But if there is good content it could balance out an intro and get away with it for some time.

One thing I've noticed from looking at my analytics is that an intro has to be very short. I used to have a long (10 second) intro and most people dropped off by the end of it.

Hey everyone, lately I've been wondering if I should begin my videos with a short 3-5 second intro. It seems a lot of people are split on the topic so I just wanted some insight before making one and adding to it to my videos and then it detracting from the videos I put out. Any help is much appreciated! :D

some people dont have any intro or outro at all, i dont think it makes too much of a difference, yeah it looks good, and for outros you can do all the cool video links etc, but yeah its up to you, i think as people get bigger on youtube and start to make decent money then they are able to afford a little cash to get these made for them, so with this being said maybe just wait a while

Until recently I as very against intros. But I've changed my mind, I think an intro can work well for your channel but, in my opinion, it can't be intrusive and must be as short as possible.
