I really like to add an interesting intro because a lot of graphic design channels lack them, and it really adds a sort of lead in to your design or speed art, because without it your viewer just kind of jump into the content without knowing what they're watching, so the intro eases them into the content. I really like how Monica Church does them, on her vlog channel, because its so cute and charming, and also personalized for her, and make her channel look so professional compared to a lot of the other daily vloggers that just pop into the video and start talking.

No. If it's the same template of your username just shaking while dubstep plays in the background, dont that automatically tells me youre not original and you're most likely a s****y channel. But thats just me. On the other hand if you can edit something like NFKRZ or Pyros into than sure, go for it

I don't mind short, generic and unique intros. Just can't stand those free template intros that people get, since it shows me that they aren't dedicated to be unique (in terms of their intros). First impressions can make or break. Either make a unique intro or get straight to the point.

I think it depends. I have noticed that a lot of successful channels don't have intros. But, on the other hand I have seen channels add intos and gain more subscribers. So, I think it just depends on your personal preference. As long as the quality of the intro is good and it isn't too long...it can work great!

I normally do a quick 8 - 10 second intro where I am in front of the camera talking about what we're going to discuss or show in the video and then have my intro play. It's a quick 5 second logo sting I put together. No complaints about it from any subscribers. I realize that If anyone was to watch 10 videos in a row it may be a little annoying but I think branding your videos - especially if they're not "lifecasting" is important.

I personally don't have an introduction because of the fact if i'm watching a video, unless the intros quick, instead of skipping it I just leave the video :/

I just redid my intro this past week, keeping it to 3 seconds, I wanted to enforce the name & what we cover in one sweep... I certainly feel short intros are fine, it's the big ones that can get annoying...

For me what I do is do a short introduction, introducing the viewer on what to expect on the video and then play the introduction.

I keep my introduction short as well so around 3-5 seconds and use a fade transition to make the transition from the video to the intro smooth.

I would suggest you to have an intro but not too long one.

Check out bananagaming's channel out. I would suggest you to get similar intro like his.

When someone clicks on one of your videos they can recognize you. You know what I think.
