Hey guys, this is not a tutorial on how to get views from reddits but rather about finding the right/best subreddits to post your videos on when you're new to reddit so let's get into it :

Step 1 : install tubebuddy extension:
some of you are familiar with the heartbeat extension from freedom, this one is similar but am not saying you should use this one instead or that this one is better, it's just that tubebuddy has this tool that we will need in step 2 and 3 .
Step 2 : look for a popular/viral video related to your niche:
whether you are doing vlogs, video games, beauty or any kind of content, there must be someone you know who is starting out like you and had one of his videos gone viral, if not then look up a video related to your content that has gone viral or semi-viral.
Step 3 : click through the (tubebuddy stats tab) to find out where the video got shared: i.imgur.com/oZz96QD.png
to find out what sub-reddits the video has got its view from, click the stats tab below the video:
and that's pretty much it. you will know where he got his views from, choose the subreddits that got him the most views and post your videos there too. if the video was not shared on reddit then look for another one.

i hope this was useful and i think it is, for those especially who are starting out with reddit and want to know where to share their videos.

until next time :)

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to plan some content that will rank in youtube search and bring in some steadier traffic.
Here's my question: does anyone know where Tube Buddy retreives the data it uses for the tag explorer feature? How reliable is this data?

I ask because I've found some highly rated keywords (90+ on tag explorer) that seem to have near zero monthly searches according to google keyword planner.

This contradiction is concerning, because I'm ready to produce some evergreen content, but it's a time sink to produce unsearchable videos just because the tag explorer fed me a highly rated tag number.

Any insight would be appreciated.

@Phil @ TubeBuddy can chime in I'm sure.

I've never had an issue with tag explorer, and rank highly often with my videos using its features and some of my own SEO knowledge/tricks.

How's the traffic been? For example, ranking on the first page for something that had the little traffic meter thing over green but little competition? Do you know what I mean? What does 'green' mean?
Your tube buddy insight is always helpful @WeiseGamer , so thank you.

Also, congrats on nearly 1,000 subs. Hopefully you hit that digit soon *knock on wood

When I rank #1 or top 5 even I can see a difference. I'm number 1 for "Slime Rancher Review" for example, and here is the analytics for just the last 28 days or whatever YouTube does:

That's reassuring to know that there is traffic waiting on the other side. I will post back into this thread or one similar when I have some results of my own.

Ok so I just checked out TubeBuddy, and it actually looks really handy! Of course there's some features that you need to pay for to have but I don't think you really need to pay for it in order to get everything you need! I'm liking it so far, still exploring and tinkering with it, but it looks really cool right now.

Does anybody know how to find appropriate tags in TubeBuddy? I'm trying my best to look for tags that are related to my video and to boost its search rankings, but I'm having quite a hard time catching good tags. What kind of tags should I look for?
