How does TubeBuddy inject data exactly? Like when you're bulk entering information and such, how does it get access to my videos? Does it just open up a browser instance in the background or does it actually log in using my credentials somehow?
In the majority of cases, it makes updates via the YouTube API which we're able to do after you link your channel and grant access to TubeBuddy. Some things like updating annotations aren't available via the API so we post information to YouTube with your current browser session. It doesn't "create a new instance" or use your name/password (which we don't have access to anyway) - it just sends information with your current logged in browser session if that makes sense.[DOUBLEPOST=1445113846,1445113552][/DOUBLEPOST]
My virus protection(Kaspersky Internet Security) just flagged the main.js file in TubeBuddy as potential adware. Is TubeBuddy ok? Here is the exact directory
C:\Users\{Insert User Name Here}\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\mhkhmbddkmdggbhaaaodilponhnccicb\1.26.53_0\js\main.js
(May be in wrong section of fourm)

Thanks ATM Plays - that is a common occurrence because TubeBuddy was built using the cross-platform frameword at CrossRider.com and other people have built adware using the same framework and now everyone gets flagged even if you're a good company with no ads :(

Please read the following article with instructions on how to fix it. https://tubebuddy.freshdesk.com/solution/articles/5000627044

We do hope to build a native version of TubeBuddy and ditch CrossRider someday because of this exact issue.

Dude!

I have used VidIQ so far and stumbled on your post here.
The tool rocks, the free giveaways blew my mind!

Is there a success story you can share - some paying custom er got from-to..

Thanks Alex! With TubeBuddy it's really not about X views gained or X subscribers gained (although the optimization and promotion tools both help a lot in that area), it's about time saved and your overall happiness on YouTube. We have testimonials from Family Feud and others on our homepage. And here's a longer one from AskMen

"The real benefit comes after you've set up the initial templates for annotations and cards. The process can take little to no time if you've already got a few good annotation jobs set up and brings annotating time down from up to 5 minutes to seconds. With larger uploading jobs it can save up to an hour per day.

For me I'm just one person but it would really save lots of time for organizations with multiple YouTube managers. Having a unified selection of annotations and cards can make it so you only have to worry about one main person creating annotations and cards.

Being able to completely remove all annotations and replace every video with a new one whenever could save days. If I was going to go in and add an annotation to every video on our YouTube it would take hundreds of hours if not more. It would quite probably be impossible.

Being able to add tags through the tag recommendation tab takes about 1/3 of the time as when manually adding them and generally gives you recommendations you wouldn't have thought of with a heat meter to let you know how popular they are. This not only saves time but likely ensures more people see your videos.

Being able to get all the advanced embed tools for posting to your website is a great benefit as well, being able to do things like turning on autoplay, looping, sizing videos and so much more makes it extremely versatile.

The social tracker and search ranking takes the need to go to a separate website to see who's sharing your content and how you rank on search and places it all in one spot which is really helpful. This likely cuts out 20 or 30 minutes a day.

And finally being able to pick your own videos for advertising on your own videos and in descriptions in incredible. Once again something that you simply can't do with over 3,000 videos and minimal time (let alone it being impossible without TubeBuddy anyways).
