I don't write anything down, no scripts, no acting, very little planning but a whole lot of just getting stuck in and actually doing it. A lot of the time people often talk too much and waste time when they could have been working on the actual project. Yes, sometimes planning is needed especially if you are making an amateur movie and you want it to be as refined as possible, but writing a script for a 10 minute vlog video just sounds cheap to me. If you can't talk to your YouTube audience without writing down notes then you shouldn't bother because it only looks fake and forced in my opinion. I usually get my inspiration from just actually seeing what works and what doesn't and that comes from experience, for example, whilst in the middle of my latest video I had an idea to create a whole new scene, a scene which turned out to be the highlight of the video. If it wasn't for me experimenting with different scenarios on the fly, I probably wouldn't have come up with the ideas that I did. My advice, just let your ideas flow naturally and don't force them.
