I would say to keep it all together to start. When you're a smaller channel, dividing your content out into different channels will split an already small audience (no offense).
And it will be really hard to get each channel to have its own following. For now, try putting everything together into one channel and see if you can grow that. If that doesn't work or you get really big, then you can split it up and let people know.

Is it possible I could come up with a schedule so that different days are a different topic? If my channel gets big would it work to keep it as one channel with a schedule?

That's exactly what I was going to suggest, but I'm at work and forgot lol. Sorry about that. I have on channel with a few different types of videos myself. Don't really schedule though, some of the stuff takes too long to make. But I like having it all together.

Some takes longer to make as well. But those would be only my Documentaries, and music videos along with concerts. The filmmaking tips and tutorials could be easily scheduled. I also just discovered you can hide a certain videos for subscribers when you upload. perhaps I could just hide some videos that are uploaded for my subscribers if I felt that I needed to. If I'm making a 4 part series on a tutorial I could hide parts 2-4 in my subscribers feed and then only allow part 1 to show up in my subscribers feed and then annotate to the rest of the parts in the other videos

I personally found it difficult to decide, because I have so many ideas but need different channels, so I can be in control and I know the audience would be different. Only exception would be a Vlog channel, where people would be interested in you a as a person, so then you can add other random stuff, as the common factor would be YOU in all of em.

It's hard to because I see several youtubers with multiple channels. NBC youtube channel doesn't have the Voice clips or Golf on it. But NBC has their own channels for Golf and The Voice. Same with Fox and other channels.

As said before, I would have 1 channel to begin with, and as your channel grows you could create other specific channels and advertise to your already grown fan base.

I've been thinking about this and wondering if I should leave all my filmmaking on one channel. (Concerts, Music Videos and Documentaries) and then make a second channel for tech related stuff. (Filmmaking tips, software tutorials and tech reviews)

I tend to agree. I look at my fav channels and they have honed there channels down into a single format or genre. Then if they need to expand they have other channels and at the end of video they cross promote the channels.

My own channel was a mis-mash of ideas, satire, sketch comedy bits, and 1 vlog experiment. But the satirical videos were out performing the others.

So now I have focused more into producing this style of content only.
I would love to do more skits and sketches but when I do I will definitely be placing them on a separate channel in future.
I dont want the viewer base I have started to gather be put off by random videos they may not be interested in.

I think if the content is different, you should have a different channel. It helps establish your theme/brand and helps you better tailor for your audience.
