How do you come up with your video ideas?

I get inspired by other videos, just seeing a potential in a game, getting an idea from music, or try to base new ideas upon previously successful videos. Once I get ideas, I write them into my tablet notebook, listed by genre in a document of video ideas. I color code symbols as to which I have the most faith in, which would take the most time to make, what videos are similar ideas, and how far I've come. Whenever I have to produce, I look into this document and see what I can do. It's not unusual that I have 3-5 ideas slowly reaching end of production, as to make it less tedious than working for long on one. Other times I just really get into the mood, sit for some hours straight to produce something.
 
Our ideas come to us whilst we are sleeping too , as me and my gf have a channel together we like to run our ideas by eachother to see what we both think (sort of like a second opinion) so if we dont like eachothers ideas then we will work together on how to combined all of our ideas into one video that we do like, we like to think of our ideas our selves rather that watching another video and developing somebody else's idea further so that we are different and unique! :)
 
Even though I only have a couple of videos, I have some ideas written down in a notepad I have. I try to keep it with myself at all times, so that if I think of an idea I write it down right away. I guess different people think in different ways. My mind works in a really strange way. I could be watching a fail compilation and then think of something completely opposite of the video. I think the key is to write everything down, good or bad and then pick out what you actually think is worthy. Being original also helps. Like if you tried copying every single viral video, I don't think that you will actually come up with good ideas. In my opinion the trick is to open up your brain and try to come up with stuff in your own way.
 
I keep a notepad that I use, most of the things that I cover are what I do during my day at college, so when the lecturers talk I write it down so I can make a video or powerpoint on it later. As this can help not only me, + others. But most of my visual Ideas come to me when watching TV.
 
My channel is mainly on how to stuff, i tend to see what i feel is useful for me and then after Little research on those topis that interests me I do a video on them and hope it would help someone else as well.
