Why I started Youtube

I started youtube because I really like gaming and so I decided why don't I start uploading videos on youtube. So far it has been fun but all of these things people have been telling me are saying its hard

Thanks everybody.

This question has been asked several times on the forum and I would like to explain my answer in a little bit of detail:

Youtube has changed me. Before I began my channel early this year, I was an extremely camera shy person with a big inferiority complex. I was convinced to do this by another Youtuber who makes really good vlogs and is extremely comfortable in front of the camera. Being a Youtube personality really appealed to me and I wanted to give it a try not so much to be rich or famous, but to conquer my insecurities.

It was a big step for me because I didn’t quite know how to begin. I had a camera and a hobby but my biggest problem was, and sometimes still is, how to avoid getting tongue tied when the red light is blinking. My first few videos were awful. So awful that they never made it onto my Youtube channel. The first few videos that I did upload are better but still not great.

As I filmed more and more, the videos got better but I concede they still could use improvement. My very first uploaded video, which is my Homemade Doughnuts was the scariest because I filmed the first part of it in a public place (the gym) with a bunch of people, some I knew, others I didn’t standing around watching me. I planned it out a week in advance and even remembered a brief script in my head. I would recite the script out loud in my car while driving everyday until I got it right. It was a success. It was a huge step in overcoming the awkwardness we all feel about filming in public. I still go back and watch that video because I believe it was a turning point for me.

The biggest change is that the camera shyness is completely gone. In fact, I now love being in front of the camera and willing to do things I would never consider doing in the past such as dancing, wearing NO makeup, and acting like a clown. I can’t see myself not doing this because I’m really having so much fun now.

That is why I Youtube
I started YouTube because after years of watching other people create videos, I wanted to also. Now that I'm out of school I have more free time. I also wanted to show case my creativity and help others with my tutorials.

I do it because I have lots of film/short doc ideas that I just want to share. I love seeing my videos being commented on and shared. They are all narrated, and I've never appeared on my channel in person, but I want to change that, and maybe do a video where I am actually talking to the camera. I don't have a very hyper personality like a lot of YouTubers before me, but I'm keen to see how it works.

I YouTube purely for the enjoyment and challenge of creating new videos and putting the content that I create and enjoy out there in case others enjoy it too. There is nothing more satisfying than getting a random bit of praise or a comment from a fellow YouTuber across the world who has stumbled onto your channel!! Its also a great place to make friends and get great tips from other people

Its fun. And I like the idea of slowly getting better at something.
Maybe its an outlet for artistic experssion as well. And by that I mean 10 second slow-mo clips of something stupid happening in fallout. Quality content.

i do Youtube becuase ive enjoyed watching so many other great youtubers like TeamSamurai, M3rkmusic, & driftor that ive always wanted to show my game play or walkthrough guide on games or anything for that matter so i can also help those people out or even get more advise on how to make my own content better & learn from my experience. this is why i youtube

I started youtube because I wanted to share my videos with the world and it's really fun as well.

It's just a really fun hobby and there is a slight chance that you could make a few bucks off of it. Also, you can make some cool friends.

I just recently stared YouTube because I'm a very introverted person, and I really want to be able to put myself out there in a social environment. I also had already been making videos just because I love filming and editing videos. I'm still not comfortable enough to film myself in public, but I hope that I will eventually be able to. I really love to make videos and I'm doing this to get more comfortable editing and filming videos.

I do Youtube because I love being able to create content & edit and upload work that I'm proud of!
Youtube has boosted my confidence to not care what other people think & be true to myself!
My goal is to inspire and help people in any shape or form that I can and spread more positivity :)
