YouTube is Removing Videos - Are You Affected?

Has anyone tried age restriction for demonetized videos?
(Advanced Settings - Age restriction - Enable age restriction)

I guess they still remain demonetized, but perhaps it will help? Something? Don't know what? Not getting videos removed but only shown to kids over 13?[DOUBLEPOST=1511296383,1511296152][/DOUBLEPOST]
I doubt that YouTube would ever release an official list of words that trigger reviews. Just like they don't like people discussing CPM rates because people would rig the system (again).

Yep, god forbid, the company we work for/sub-contract to, actually giving us usable guidance on what they want want us to deliver. Better to slap us around when we don't deliver what they want except guiding us what they want.

It's like in my work as project manager, I ask IT system analysts, architects, to deliver me work packages, but I actually give them a very vague, nebulous spec sheet. In my 20 years I have as yet to see a successful project with muddy specs.[DOUBLEPOST=1511297541][/DOUBLEPOST]
One thing to consider is that currently, the restricted setting disables monetization.

Ye, now it's a case of screw monetization and preserve traffic and don't get your channel deleted

I can't open Vlad Crazy show, says no longer available. Unbelievable. :eeks:

Was just checking this channel as everybody kept mentioning it in the thread, and yeah it got the ban hammer.

On Socialblade I see it was amassing something like 30-40 million views per day :eeks:

Max I ever seen a single channel pulling off consistently was between 10 and 20 millions views daily, what kind of kids content were they putting out and were they posting multiple times per day?

They were probably the biggest cheater on YT, uploading the same content over and over again. I was quite surprised nothing was done about it...

They reuploaded a lot of the same videos.. mixed in with other videos. They got big FAST.

I bet there are some attorneys salivating over all of this. I'm curious to see how some channels hit back. When this much money is at stake, I don't think some of these channels are going to just say "aw shucks, our bad..."

I think KTR said above, that a huge part of the problem is the idea of needing to please the algorithm and follow trends in order to be seen. Youtube themselves strongly encourages Youtubers to follow trends and make videos on what your viewers are watching most.

"Toys and Funny Kids Surprise Eggs" is gone, too (I might be wrong but I think they might be the ones posting tons of stop motion videos starring Elsa, Hulk, Spiderman, etc.)

They were also pulling in unbelievable numbers:

Looks like nobody is safe from this ban wave :help:[DOUBLEPOST=1511309548,1511309155][/DOUBLEPOST]

Unless you are the dad from ToyFreaks, lol

Jokes aside, I think the channels that were heavily featuring Disney characters it`s better if they just take the money and run, as I really wouldn`t want to stand up against Disney lawyers in a court room.

This being said, I was able to see some of Vlad Crazy Show videos on mirror channels, and it seemed original content not featuring anything gross nor copyrighted, so it`s pretty worrying that they got the ban hammer...ok, they were reuploading the same content, but name one established kids channel that doesn`t do that (even LittleBabyBum is guilty of that)

Craaazy Toys also gone, it's a total spree. Really happy about this, hope they all get nuked.
