YouTube is Removing Videos - Are You Affected?

Vlad must be getting hit hard.. they have 1.5 BILLION views that have been taken off according to social blade.. looks like all the large channels have quite a few videos being deleted/views taken away..

Great comment from below the DeFranco video:

"When I heard that YouTube was making an app for kids I assumed it would only contain pre-screened content. Who in their right minds would think that with our current level of technology it'd be ok for a computer to decide what children can watch?"

I doubt that YouTube would ever release an official list of words that trigger reviews. Just like they don't like people discussing CPM rates because people would rig the system (again).

I will make my videos as friendly as I can without becoming a complete borefest. I was watching some scenes of Home Alone recently and couldn't stop thinking that any of it would be enough to remove your video straight away. Things like escaping through the window, electrocuting a criminal, climbing up a bookcase and crashing down, stealing something from a shop, running away from a police officer trying to stop you, throwing a hot iron into someones face, travelling alone in a plane without your parents, scare a pizza delivery guy with a scary movie shooting bullets, throwing a scary spider onto someone and the list goes on and on. I'm sure many parents who complain about kids videos currently will gladly watch home alone again with their kids this Christmas not thinking for a second it could harm the poor kids brain...
I agree some videos that people put on should be banned forever (e.g. pregnant else/peppa pig stuff) but I'm sure all of us enjoyed bugs bunny, tom & jerry, home alone and some other stuff when we were all kids and nothing bad happened to us right?

I'm also removing any reference to baby, kids, children, nursery rhymes, war, attack, etc out of my tittle, tags and description form now on. Everyone is jumping on the Funny Baby or Funny Kids bandwagon now, I would guess that could be the next purge soon.
Very good point, I just checked IMDB, Home Alone has classification PG which is in the UK:

PG Parental Guidance. General viewing, but some scenes may be unsuitable for young children. A PG film should not unsettle a child aged around eight or older. Unaccompanied children of any age may watch, but parents are advised to consider whether the content may upset younger, or more sensitive, children.

So it's perfectly fine for age 8 and older but might upset 3-4 year old for example. It's perfect example of what KTR spoke earlier in this thread - what is perfect for 10 yo might not be so for 3 yo. But in the world of YT it's only restricted vs non-restricted content, which is not very suitable as this whole situation has shown.
