I know it's tough at the beginning, that is what every single YouTuber faces at the start. The more you keep focusing on subs, you are going to get more discouraged and stop all together sooner or later. Use your channel infancy to experiment with different videos, to differentiate yourself from others.

yea i guess. I have tried all types of promotion and none of them have worked for me and i hate it. idk man any suggestions?
I also recommend using twitter. It'll help with auto tweeting when you post a video. Join or follow others under your same category and advertise your twitter through your video. So it goes both ways and it'll slowly grow on its own given enough views and quality content.
