Is Youtube Work or Fun?

Did anyone start there YouTube channel hoping to grow it into a career or full time work?

Or was it just for a hobbie and some fun?

What was your main reasons for starting a channel?

I started mine because I am a bit of clown anysay lol and I had to stop playing sports and didn't have much activities to do so making funny videos as really gave me something to look forward to and enjoy and it's great to speak to other people who do the same.

Yes man! You are doing it for the right reasons. You shouldn't start youtube looking to make a career our of it! Just have some fun and be consistent.

Youtube should really just be fun, if you get youtube to be a full time job, dont class it as work, still class it as fun like it should be

For me, it is more about fun at the moment. I want to try some stuff out and improve my presentation skills in front of a camera/crowd. So doing youtube helps with practicing these things.

Yeah just for fun. But I find getting good comments and subscribers can be pretty addictive.

My early videos were definitely for the fun of it because I knew nothing, then when subscribers started going up it sort of becomes a mix of the fun of it and the reaction and subs going (hopefully) up.

Mostly fun, I make videos because I enjoy it. Sometimes editing can seem a little like work, but I would say that Youtube is 95% fun for me.

We started ours in hopes of it being a career, I love filming, editing and being creative! I want to be my own boss and be able to live a fulfilled life! Not work 9-5 for the rest of my life, but everyone's different and you just gotta do what works for you!

Definitely for fun, but sometimes I treat it as work. I have a schedule, I try to stick to deadlines, I motivate myself to try harder and be better...but yea, it's a hobby.
