Do you hide the fact you have a youtube channel from friends?

Same here. I know how my friends are. They would take every opportunity to mess it up for me because they don't take anything seriously.

I didn't hide it but I didn't push it out there to them either. However once I did, it was the best decision I made. Good friends are very supportive of your content and are really useful for getting feedback so you can improve faster.

But no, I wouldn't hide my channel. I'd probably want as many people as possible to watch (or listen in my case) my stuff. And aren't your first subscribers often family and/or friends?
