Are you embarrassed to be doing Youtube?

I specifically chose my channel name, description and google+ name such that anyone googling my name (or doing a photo search) wouldn't accidentally stumble upon my YouTube channel. It isn't so much that I'm embarrassed about my channel but more that I would rather keep work clients, work managers and potential employers separate. It means I can be stupid and really unwind on my channel. I would also rather work related people get to know me in person first - I recently put a stupid video together that was shown at our Christmas do but that only really worked because people knew me as a person first. I also sometimes feel many especially older people in the construction industry don't really understand YouTube.

That's not to say that I'm not at times embarrassed by particular aspects of my channel or some of my videos, but who isn't! :-D
 
Not at all. Making video games is something that I enjoy a lot, so I don't mind uploading videos showing people how to make their own games from scratch. In fact, I am usually excited to get viewers and new comments, even though it is a bit rare when that happens.
 
My plan was to secretly do YouTube 'till I had a lot of subscribers and I was a bit "out there"
My plan failed because my classmates found my videos and are active subscribers. It is what it is. I like their support and all but sometimes they overdo it by spreading my channel across the school and whatnot.
I'm hoping to build my channel a lot more before anyone else I know sees them.
 
So my boyfriend knows, because we live together, so sometimes I have to tell him im recording and he needs to shush. And IRL friends who are also on youtube know, but all my other friends and my family don't know. I guess i do feel sort of...embarrassed. I don't know why though. It's silly. New Year's resolution, maybe, to share my channel with everyone? ha!
 
Not at all!!! Most people I know know I do YouTube. Even though I am just under 40 subscribers, I have people ask me about my channel all the time at school. I'm sorta known as that chick who makes videos for the internet.
 
Everybody is cool with me doing it, especially my friends. Plus I'm not embarrassed to do YouTube at all, just another form of entertainment :D
 
Yes. Kinda. That's why it's taken me so long to start.
Also afraid of what other musicians may say about me giving away my music for free.
