Hey there! The reason I decided to become a youtuber is quite simple really... I was quite a shy type of person. I used to mumble or slur in speaking. I'm relatively new to YouTube but slowly; I'm improving with support from viewers! Go check me out and send support if you can
PS: The link on Yttalk may not work so you can just search me on YouTube

You may want to fix the link to your channel before directing people there.

This question has been asked several times on the forum and I would like to explain my answer in a little bit of detail:

Youtube has changed me. Before I began my channel early this year, I was an extremely camera shy person with a big inferiority complex. I was convinced to do this by another Youtuber who makes really good vlogs and is extremely comfortable in front of the camera. Being a Youtube personality really appealed to me and I wanted to give it a try not so much to be rich or famous, but to conquer my insecurities.

It was a big step for me because I didn’t quite know how to begin. I had a camera and a hobby but my biggest problem was, and sometimes still is, how to avoid getting tongue tied when the red light is blinking. My first few videos were awful. So awful that they never made it onto my Youtube channel. The first few videos that I did upload are better but still not great.

As I filmed more and more, the videos got better but I concede they still could use improvement. My very first uploaded video, which is my Homemade Doughnuts was the scariest because I filmed the first part of it in a public place (the gym) with a bunch of people, some I knew, others I didn’t standing around watching me. I planned it out a week in advance and even remembered a brief script in my head. I would recite the script out loud in my car while driving everyday until I got it right. It was a success. It was a huge step in overcoming the awkwardness we all feel about filming in public. I still go back and watch that video because I believe it was a turning point for me.

The biggest change is that the camera shyness is completely gone. In fact, I now love being in front of the camera and willing to do things I would never consider doing in the past such as dancing, wearing NO makeup, and acting like a clown. I can’t see myself not doing this because I’m really having so much fun now.

That is why I Youtube

I do YouTube because I was never able to go to college for my dream career. games is something that's been apart of my whole life and will continue being apart of my life till the day I die. even though this is a hobby, for now. I treat it like a job cause it keeps me productive in my day and I take pride in the work that i've done. The best part about making a YouTube channel is it forced me to learn a lot of things such as editing software, audio editing, how to commentate even though that's still a work in progress. how to make banners, how to promote, how to talk to people, and how to make something that I can truly be proud of. I cant say that i'm a camera shy person but I do find that I could improve how i talk. Aside from all that YouTube is great, there are people that will bash your work but i'm the type who takes the good with the bad and if there's some helpful advice in the ranting, then great. hopefully this can be a full time job one day but for now if anything i can look back on this and take something positive out of it. If the internet or YouTube is still around I can show the kids or grand kids what i did when i was young. Thanks guys for reading, ill leave this off with a quote. "I'm a gamer not because I don't have a life, but because i choose to have many"

I do Youtube for multiple reasons:
I love to make people laugh, ever since I was little I would purposely do things or say things that I knew would make my family laugh. I guess I've expanded upon that.
I want to make my channel into something bigger so I can do some good with it(like charity livestreams).
I love to create videos of different kinds, especially short films & sketches.

what kind of things do you sketch? do you draw on computer using a drawing pad? maybe you can branch that skill and help others with channel art or something. laugher is a cure for this world, the world can never have enough of it. keep the dream alive man, lol.

I'm marry and have a babyboy. I am working as a Budget Reporting Specialist in a multinational company. And I have too much stress!
And also I act on TV Serials and Movies in Turkey. Since I met youtube, I give up to cinema and serials acting. I would like to give up my work and full time working for youtube. I know I have time to make this. But I have a goal and I am waiting true time to do it!!!

Thanks, I agree with you on the laughter part. :)
Actually, when I said sketches I meant comedy skits & stuff like that. I do draw though, just not in videos. ^-^
