YouTube is Removing Videos - Are You Affected?

How is YouTube determining who gets to keep their monetization?

No idea. All I know, is after suffering a major hit in March 2017 (reduced to 30% expected income) is that there were alot of inconsistencies in what got to stay monetized and what didn't. Almost everything turned yellow, and after appealing 50% was confirmed monetizable and the other 50% not (something like that). No logical answers or one on one advice was given besides the typical copy paste scripts. The only way to survive it was to come up a whole set of new ideas that were advertiser friendly, work twice as hard and not worry about what everyone else was doing. After successfully doing that we are now confronted with the possibility of adpocalypse 2.

Were kids channels affected by the first adpocalypse?

Gee they demonetized your new channel? They did the same with our newer compilation channel, so I deleted everything.. ugh. We were going to buy some better equipment ( Green screen, camera, etc.).. but have decided to hold off on things until youtube gets more stable. @KidsCorner had some great effects, some that we wanted to try, but still unsure.
Yep, I'm holding off too. I had about 20 items in my ebay cart, mostly props and giant stuff for bad baby type video skits, just moved them all to 'save for later'. May have to delete them actually, since those days are gone. Of course you can still get the green screen, there are some $30 options available, it's a good skill to have for the future, on or off Yt.

Yep, us too! We have made a few cheap green screen back drops and did some of those effect in our videos, but yes, would still love to get a nicer set up. I did love how Vlad's channel was so bright and lite up. Would love to get the more professional look.[DOUBLEPOST=1511707008,1511706982][/DOUBLEPOST]
This guy has some good info on what's happening, and is trying to compile some common points of reference.
I think it's the guy from the original "Johny Johny Yes Papa" song.

I've tried to re-create Vlad's look - so far I can't do it. Their houses did have lots and lots of ceiling LED lights, in addition to the 2 regular LED panel lights. Perhaps it was a mixture of the ceiling lights and post-processing. I also felt they had played with the dynamic range, like HDR in photos, making all the colors pop. If anyone does know the technicalities of how to recreate that, please share!!

If someone can post a screenshot or link to a video, I can give it a shot in explaining how to replicate the look.

I think it did have a lot to do with the lighting in their house and the camera they used.[DOUBLEPOST=1511707296,1511707249][/DOUBLEPOST]

Their channel has been deleted unfortunately. But there might be a reupload somewhere.

I've spent hours searching today, but so far I can't find any specific references to our channel wide demonetization status, nor what "documentation" they are referring to. If I was going to guess, it would be copyright clearances from the owners of copyrighted characters (good luck getting those from Pixar or Disney!!). Anyone have any luck with their Yt reps or tracking anything down online?
