YouTube is Removing Videos - Are You Affected?

I don't think it would be a double standard guys, it just takes time to remove everything. Nuke out the main offenders to keep advertisers happy and newspapers off their back. Finish thanksgiving holidays then come back and clean up the rest.

You'd think there will be some harsh regulations coming into play 2018 to solve all these issues. Otherwise these dramas will just keep repeating.

It doesn't help that their policy is to avoid responding to creators with one ounce of logic.

Also, today the kids were watching a new video clip of Dima Bilan, famous singer in Russia. At 15 seconds he got hit by a car... at 3:58 the hot girl gets driven over by a car in full view. And this is advertizer friendly stuff my kids watch...

Yup, very double standard. This one is interesting too, a child very visbile, text saying she’s 4 years old and a needle. And ads run on this!,,.... This stuff got whole kids channels removed the last week....

That thumbnail would not be allowed now on any of our channels. We would get the video removed by Youtube, and a community strike. Yes that channel is still monetized. Amazing!![DOUBLEPOST=1511659256,1511658944][/DOUBLEPOST]

Maybe, yes, it will be cleaned. But, now Yt should do a platform wide advertising halt immediately, and clean shop.

Otherwise creators will get very very angry, that our channels and businesses are destroyed, yet others are doing the same stuff and earning revenue.

It's like 2 meth heads dealing on both sides of the street (not that we're meth heads, just an ex), the cops scoop in and bust one, cuff him up, but let the other one deal.

Or a more common example that will make all of us angry: 2 cars parked next to each other in a "no parking zone", the parking inspector comes to your car and gives you a $88 ticket, but nothing to the other car. He just looks the other way and walks off. How many people would accept that? How many would be angry? How many would take pictures and share it on facebook screaming unfair and double standard?

If you want these reported, compile a list of all the videos that are offfenessive and send it to the journals that wrote the articles about the uproar and also post on /r/ElsaGate which is closely monitored by some journalists. I don't know if this thread is monitored by journalists or YouTube (there are YouTube representatives as members on the forum), but for fully proper cleaning YouTube counts on the community as well.

I was checking a few family vlogging channels

I just checked one of the most popular family vloggers in the Netherlands

Do you have any sub range with these channels? I was talking with one of the smaller channels within our sub range. 1K-2K range. They said YT deleted some of their videos. I know they made some bad baby, killer clown and learn colors with tape videos so think they are the ones that were deleted. I’m not 100% sure. So maybe it’s not just the big channels but small channels as well. I’m just not sure how widespread this and what’s happening with the others. @KiddieToysReview You mentioned the “Clean 12” channels. Who are these channels? Why did you labeled them the clean 12? I’m just curious.

I had a new channel called "Wacky Kids Adventures", it only had 2 videos on there and about 150 subs. One video was tape mommy (never taped any kids just mom) and it was demonetized permanently by Yt. Second video was the kids karate test, that was also demonetized. The whole channel then got that message and permanently demonetized. I deleted the channel :-( It's a shame, I have a lot of green screen footage prepared for skits, was going to take inspiration from the very talented @KidsCorner, but was cut down before we even got our first skit up.

There were the original channels that started the kids vertical, I think there were 12 of them, I remember reading an article in Nov 2015 during the research for this channel - ex: Arkadius, Evan, DCTC, Hailey's, etc....[DOUBLEPOST=1511691639,1511672974][/DOUBLEPOST]This is why it did not work to change the metadata on inappropriate videos - Cloud Vision. Reading about it (cloud.google.com/vision/) it seems very powerful - it can detect objects inside videos. So if Yt doesn't want dummies in kids faces, done. Or detect M&Ms or candies or chocolate bars, count them, and if it's an excessive number, flag the video. It can also identify characters, so from now on I would expect all superhero costumes to get flagged. Scary stuff!!

I think that’s why they said that you can’t have No misleading metas. No sir.

From Cloud Vision: Vision API improves over time

First thing came to my mind is the scene from Tron Legacy:

Clu: Flynn! Am I still to create the perfect system?

Flynn: Yeah.

Then the AI fights the users.

I'm quite sure the functionality available to external users through the API is toned down. I have no doubt they can detect and classify pretty much everything in a video, then compare it to metadata and dialog and thumbnail, and detect anything off or unwanted. That's why I'm not letting any google or amazon assistants into my home - probably little legs sprout out the bottom in the middle of the night, and the thing creeps around the house sniffing everything out.

I actually do think it's a double standard. A channel like DCTC gets 3 billion views removed, had some really edgy stuff that I personally couldn't believe they were producing, and yet they get to keep their monetization. We certainly never had glass through the foot, we didn't cut any character open (DCTC recently did a stop motion where they did surgery on Hulk's foot), we had no dating skits (our characters were all kids) etc. Yet we were demonetized.

How is YouTube determining who gets to keep their monetization?

Gee they demonetized your new channel? They did the same with our newer compilation channel, so I deleted everything.. ugh. We were going to buy some better equipment ( Green screen, camera, etc.).. but have decided to hold off on things until youtube gets more stable. @KidsCorner had some great effects, some that we wanted to try, but still unsure.[DOUBLEPOST=1511698965,1511698849][/DOUBLEPOST]

Our channel is still up, we changed the T/T/D and it seemed to save us.. we did get some videos deleted, even after I deleted over 30 on my own. The tape one got deleted and one were my son pretend to swallow a snake. Our nerf ones, however, are still up.. all yellow still.. but up for now.
