YouTube is Removing Videos - Are You Affected?

You all got a strike? Ge.. that seems extreme...we haven't as of yet.. Maybe skits would be better if we all just winged it, like Ryan's channel does, so kids aren't "forced" into doing anything..

That's what the wife has been yacking about all day. She says Yt is ok with vlogs and RTR style vids, in this case we should consider doing a family vlog but split between special activities and games and toys with kids. Ye maybe, we went to a cherry farm today and i made a video, maybe that could be our first vlog. Then alternate toys and vlog, toys and vlog. But there are other characteristics of a successful channel like RTR and a successful vlog especially that need to be incorporated, that are generally lacking in run of the mill toys&kids videos. Many things to think about.

Many of the original dozen, what I would now call The Clean Dozen, never ventured to the dark side of bad baby, learn colors with tape, spiders, snakes and the like. They would remain safe makes sense![DOUBLEPOST=1511518474,1511514870][/DOUBLEPOST]
Thanks, watched it just now. My Russian is about 85%, here goes the main points I got from the video
Wow! I'm a Russian native speaker and I'm surprised! Such a good understanding from a non-Russian speaker! Can only guess someone in the family is a Russian speaker??

Just a feeling, 3 months seems the punishment for a strike, i consider our ventures into the dark side = 1 strike, but + some kudos if you quickly cleaned your channel yourself, so it's 3 months - a few days to a few weeks kudos, so best case re-monetized in 2 months, worst case never or 3 months.
I wouldn't rate your content as dark side really. It was probably not for 1 year olds sometimes but definitely not even close to Toy Freaks and similar.

I think your wife is right. I have been thinking about doing more RTR type videos for months now.. this whole thing just confirms how I have been thinking/feeling. My boys prefer these types of videos anyway, were they can just act like themselves. They didn't like actual skits to much anyways, neither did I. I think as long as everyone enjoys it, you will be successful.

I was born in Russia, but we came to Australia when I was 8 in 1980. So I grew up speaking Russian at home and English outside. But since the parents and grandparents have passed away many years ago now, I rarely speak it, maybe once in a blue moon.[DOUBLEPOST=1511521698,1511521518][/DOUBLEPOST]

I always try to tell myself to listen to the voice of reason what comes from a woman, but being a guy, I chase trends and go off in all sorts of directions instead of keeping a steady course, and this is the result. If I had listened to her ages ago, we never would have had bad baby videos, and maybe we would have had 200k subs not 900k, but at least now we would be making $100-$200/day and not $0/day.

Well... everyone was told to follow trends. So that is what you, I and everyone else did. Don't be so hard on yourself. I know this is your income source, so I can't even imagine, but you will pick back up and take off again, I am sure of that.

No idea how long - I guess a strike disappears after 3 months, perhaps we'll be demonetized for 3 months.
The next 3 months wont be that good anyway. Quote from some articles regarding 2nd adpocalypse:

A Mars spokesperson said: “We are shocked and appalled to see that our adverts have appeared alongside such exploitative and inappropriate content. We have taken the decision to immediately suspend all our online advertising on YouTube and Google globally. Until we have confidence that appropriate safeguards are in place, we will not advertise on YouTube and Google.”

Lidl said: “It is completely unacceptable that this content is available to view and it is, therefore, clear that the strict policies which Google has assured us were in place to tackle offensive content are ineffective. We have suspended all of our YouTube advertising with immediate effect.”

Deutsche Bank said: “We take this matter very seriously and suspended the advertising campaign as soon as we became aware of it.”

A Cadbury spokesperson said: “Whilst we investigate this matter we have suspended all advertising on the channel until we have clarity from YouTube on how this situation occurred and are satisfied that an acceptable solution has been put in place.”

A spokesperson for Adidas said: “We recognise that this situation is clearly unacceptable and have taken immediate action, working closely with Google on all necessary steps to prevent this from happening again.”

HP, Diageo and Now TV, which is owned by Sky, are also reported to have pulled their advertising from the video site.
I was going to order some equipment to have it for next year video making. I guess I shall suspend all the orders now and stay in wait and see mode.

And so the 2nd adpocalypse begins.... the global demonetizations likely have something to do with that.
