YouTube is Removing Videos - Are You Affected?

Yep, for many is over, so I need to be thankful for that as least..
My feeling is to hold off on uploads at least a few days, until we know we're through the worst of it. Take the opportunity to sift through the rubble that is the kids space now, and see what content you can produce. It's fairly safe to assume what remains now, more or less, is what they approve of. See if you can take some ideas with real kids and turn them into animations. There was (is?) a Toy Freaks cartoon channels that pirated the TF family faces and redid the situations in cartoons - not saying of course pirate stuff, but certainly can find some inspiration from real channels and turn them into your own animations.[DOUBLEPOST=1511442180,1511442064][/DOUBLEPOST]

I agree to err on the side of caution. Uploads to maintain subscriber interest and traffic levels are important, but I would be very hesitant to call the attention of reviews to my channel during the next week or two. They have pulverised and beat us to a pulp enough, last thing I want is to call them into the home every day or two.

I would assume toy reviews, kids games and egg surprises are safe.. uploaded two thomas videos this week and they have been green the whole time. But I agree about holding off.. I think we will until the weekend, to see what others are doing. Everyone seems to be at a stand still..

Well said. When this hit me I think 3 months ago I took a week off too redirect and reflect. You will all know the brain doesn't shut down when it comes running a channel but trying to bump views in this time when YouTube is in damage control isn't wise. If you survive this cull, you may also benefit from it.

Very interesting, especially after the 10 min mark+ talking about spam MCNs networks and how they have gamed the kids space. Very worrisome how much of this spam crap is out there!

Fyi, my latest three videos I have uploaded after the Elsagate/Toypocalypse started and all three had it demonetized within 24 hours. I uploaded them without bad kid, bad baby, attack, etc in the tittle, tag and description. I requested review for them immediatly and within 24 hours they were all three green again (each of them seperate, 2 days in between each so must have been different reviewers).
For my old content with unfortunately bad baby titles/tags, none of my appeals turned back to green, in most cases actually the videos were removed despite many of them approved after review in the past.
So it seems to me that they have instructions to just deleted or permanently demonetize anything that had bad baby and other bad keywords in it (renaming after the purge started didn’t do anyhing for me) but all the new stuff is back to normal it seems for me as it always was since the adpocalypse started earlier this year.

Hmmm, I agree if you can be certain 100% it will approved manually, then upload. I'm worried that if they don't approve it, it will be a case of "they didn't learn their lessons" and delete the channel.

I assume there are standing orders to delete non complying channels at this stage. This will likely change later, and we'll go back to disapproved status with minimal effect on the channel. Right now i feel the chance of channel deletion is very high, all it could take it one video they don't think meets guidelines, even though we think it does.

We scraped through this (so far) partly because we manually deleted everything. Many of those 50 did not cull their inventory after those first 2 days and Yt did it for them.

Agreed. During the original adpocalypse there were no significant channel terminations. What is going on now is far more serious. Waiting for an official statement would be wise.

I wonder if attack is on the list now though.. Extreme Toys TV has "attack" on many of their videos and I see ads.. I have "attack" on a few videos on our thomas channel and those have never turned yellow..

Maybe context is important - "spider attacks baby" not ok, "kids attack dinosaur" maybe ok.
You can always try "Percy attacks Thomas | Greedy trains refuse to share track" and see what happens :)[DOUBLEPOST=1511446387,1511446332][/DOUBLEPOST]

True! Maybe some don't mix well

I had a dinosaur attacks kid video on kids corner from the old days, like a 20 cm dinosaur chasing them around the house while they are laughing about it. It got flagged, checked and removed as not in line with communication guidelines. And that didn’t contain anything like bad baby, it was from before that time,
