I have done absolutely everything I can think of. I even linked my channel from a really successful video on my old channel. That video gets like 500 views a day and it's getting close to 400k. Still... did absolutely nothing at all. Is my stuff really that bad? :(.

It's tough...

You're right....it's hard,it's not easy,it's hard to changing your life....so keep trying friend.Success not come initially :)[DOUBLEPOST=1476763906,1476763638][/DOUBLEPOST]
I think it depends on your topics as well. Our channel for example is a daily snap shot of our lives. In seriousness unless your Casey Neistat and can spend the day running around doing whatever to make great content you can limited as to what you publish based on the fact many of us have day time jobs. That being said its also perspective. We've been at this almost a month and hit 20 subs, others publish their first video and hit 20 subs. Enjoy the process, continue to work on improving every video and let the views and subs come in on their own.

Yeap...I agree with you "let the views and subs come in on their own"...:)

Making it to 100subs puts you in the top 10% of YouTube channels I read some where because there are that many channels and not many create content compared to how many channels there actually are so above 1000subs must put you a few percent higher.

Yeap...it's feels really great that my channel is in the top 10% of YouTube...feels very proud...:D:D:D

Yes, it is hard, your a nobody, and nobody knows or cares about you, but once you put yourself out there with videos you slowly and slowly get notices, exponentially getting bigger

Yeap..that's because of you're new to this community, nobody even knows you. It's take time to gain success :)

I had a boost in the beginning thanks to my already established food blog, but I've been doing it 2 and a half months and I'm on 31 subs. I've been sitting at that point for the last couple of weeks. It's definitely difficult. But if it were easy, everyone would be doing it right?

That's great best of luck mate, hope you reach 100 subs soon & thanks for your opinion :)

Yes & No.

Yes, in the sense that getting off your feet on YouTube is no easy task due to the amount of people trying to do a similar thing as you with the same goals in mind. Its difficult to stand out in an already saturated part of the web and doesnt make it easy for starter channels trying to make a name unless you have something new to bring to the table which is difficult to do seeing as there's already a lot on the table.

No, in the sense that if you are passionate about something, I mean die hard passionate about it then people can and will notice it. For example if you have a love for Gears of War and you joined a forum, got involved with the community, made a name for yourself, got recognized in the forums as an active and friendly user then once you make a video for the first time and share it on that forum, because you are a respected member who knows how many views or subs you could gain from that single post all because you were passionate about the game and its community.

You can throw in all the business if you want but unless you got it in you you'll never make it anywhere - CharlieGFX 1994 - Present
