Irrespective of algorithms, you must have the sub and non-sub viewer numbers to support the multiple uploads per day. A 1M sub channel with 50M views/month can support 1 upload per day, perhaps even two. Perhaps. A 1k sub channel with 500 views/day cannot.

Can you elaborate on what you said here because I have no idea what you are talking about.? What do you mean exactly when you say "Can Support 1 upload a day"? Youtube does not limit the number of videos you can upload based on amount of subs or views, so what do you mean by this statement? I am really curious about this.

I uploaded two days in a row and see an increase in views already. Hoping to get on YT good side! Lol

I notice some trends but I want to follow my own creativity hoping to stand out. Toy reviews are popular and fun on YT. My kids really like pretend play too so this is just the beginning of figuring out what we enjoy and our viewers enjoying watching :)

FYI this forums is awesome for support.. wish I knew you guys in person!

I've just finished an exhaustive weekend of seminars at Vidcon Melbourne. One immediate, actionable takeaway, is for you to increase your upload frequency to 3-4 times per week. You need that "NEW" tag rolling continuously. Yt is hungry for new content, you have to feed it. Upload frequency has a direct, high correlation link to channel growth.

Absolutely, one of the keys to long term longevity at this game is enjoyment. I try to go on the side of doing what the kids enjoy or are interested in as much as possible.[DOUBLEPOST=1505243959,1505243501][/DOUBLEPOST]

The way the algo is working now is via testing. It send your video out to about 5% of your active subs on upload. Depending on stats, it then either sends it out to more subs and wider viewers, or puts it into the video corpus (=dead video). The more active subs you have (all other things being equal) the more watch time you will accumulate, which will position you higher than similar videos from other channels. Assuming the stats are good, over the next 24-48 hrs your video is sent to more of your subs and a wider non-sub audience. If you release 2 videos a day, the same of subs that have seen your first video may not want to see your second video. The CTR will be lower, which the algo will interpret as your thumbnail being not clickable. Video will likely move into the corpus (=dead too). Have a look at some of Derral Eves videos where he talks about the testing that goes on as soon as a video is uploaded. Basically the algo is constantly runnings tests of your video against all similar ones, the initial tests being with your subs. That's why it's important to release your video at the time that your most die-hard fans are on the platform, as they will likely give you good stats.

Oh okay. Thanks for the explanation. Your are talking about immediate results. Honestly, my videos do not do well in the short term, but do awesome in the long term. My highest earning videos are several years old. It takes months for one of my videos to take off. I have over 1300 subs, but my new releases get almost no views from them.

Where I get my views from is forums. I do my own promotion on forums dealing the subject of my videos. I find the more external links pointing to a video, the more YT likes it. I think most of my traffic comes from Google search. People find my videos through search or on forums more then on youtube itself, I believe.

I always wondered if my subs got a notification when I post a new video. Thanks for clearing that up.

Well, after a steady climb in August and September, my channel fell off a cliff again. All stats just started dropping. What could cause such a dramatic swing?

Drop over here too with the beginning of October.

Guess maybe big advertisers are shuffling their offers to be ready for Christmas season?

Thanks. I hope that is the case, but I am not sure because my views and viewed minutes have also dropped off. The orange line in the graph abobe is my VIEWS. You can see that it dropped the same as my revenue. It's like all the sudden people just stopped watching videos on youtube. Or youtube stopped suggesting my videos, or something like that. I had a few videos listed as "Not suitable for most advertisers" recently, but they were not very popular videos, so I don't care. I am just wondering if because they are on my channel, youtube has decided that my whole channel is questionable now?

Again as I discussed in other threads, after being hit with demonetization/review thing, after getting done my reviews (of course when I upload the system gives me a yellow icon) but my CPM increased this month from 3~ to 4.10$
