Sub 4 sub problem and other stuff...

Sometimes people will subscribe to you just to get a subscribe back and I will never subscribe back unless I really like their content because these are the people that wont watch your content or help your channel grow! They are just there to benefit themselves and once they have the sub they wont bother with your channel again

That is unfortunately the truth and it happens so often...

Unfortunately it does. The issue I have found is that YouTubers are obviously interested in making it big on their own channels so wont really bother with yours. I have had some hardcore subscribers but once they started their own channels I never see them again.

My idea is that you need to target the people that don't make YouTube content who are interested in watching content. For example if you see a video and someone has commented and has no profile picure on no content on their channels.. They are most likely to just be a casual YouTube watcher and are not interested in posting. These are the people you want to engage in conversation and hopefully they will click on your channel and get hooked on the content.

That way the persons video you are watching gets a boost because the comments are increasing as you are chatting to their supporters but you have also got a chance of gaining new followers .

I hope this helps :)

It does help indeed. I try to support though as many youtubers as I can, but we are so so many and it's almost impossible to keep track of everyone. I mostly rely on a couple of friends who truly watch our content..the rest of views come from other content creators so I know most of them don't come back.

It's just a really slow process..and in the end, I think it's all about luck. Everyone talks about keywords, thumbnails, titles...etc but i've seen random channels with no thumbnail, pretty bad titles and BAM their video going viral and getting 50k+ subbies and they barely even post...

Anyway..my point is that we try so hard to come with solutions to boost our channel, gain views...when it's all about that strike of luck.

In the end, I think it's important to be consistent..and to enjoy doing it.

I like the attitude behind it! I know the struggle you are speaking about it is hard, I try to keep up with people's videos but I spend so much time creating my own and running two channels that I cant keep up with it all. If you want we can arrange a shout out for eachother send some people each way. I can shoutyou out on either of my channels but I feel like BeanTubes has the more hardcore subscribers.

If you are interested then hit me up in the messages on here or dm me on some social media and we will talk details :)

Thanks! And sure that would be awesome! I'll message you on private to talk more. ^^

Edit: Ok, I can't do that here since I need 50 posts first before I can leave private message so...find me on twitter?

Well i know they don't mean anything...so in the end, i should stop posting on other channels?
Thank you so much, I also wish you all the good luck in the world!

Yep I totally agree with you..so in the end, not all advice is good. I mean the commenting on other channels thing because it's just attracts people who ask for sub.

So now you don't comment on other channels?
By the way, glad to see you here!

Not every channel anymore. What i do now is if my loyal subbers comment i just like it or love it. Sometimes if the commenter has a channel and part of my community and friends i go to their channel directly to leave a comment on their video and a thanks for visiting my channel.

As soon as I made my subscribed channels list private, the sub for sub, sub and run and check out my channel posts disappeared. It lets them know you won't be showing off their channel there even if you do sub

But my subscribed channel lists it is private though :((

Just think of the sub 4 sub guys as a means to an end. When your channel is in it's infancy, they can boost your videos with extra views, likes and comments. However, they are obviously not going to benefit you long-term. I've seen channels that have thousands of subscribers, but their videos still only get <100 views. Commenting on other peoples videos can get you short term benefits such as likes and subscribers, but it encourages the sub 4 sub mentality in my opinion. The best type of promotion you should focus is on, is external to YouTube. Anyone that has their own channel is likely only really interested in growing their own subscriber base. Promoting your videos on Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms will help you get the type of subscribers you want. It's a much slower process, but overall it will be far better for you. I hope that helps...
