Posting Mad!
So I have wrote this little bit of information about budgies in the description of my latest budgie video...
The budgerigar, which is informally nicknamed the budgie, is also known as the Common Pet Parakeet and/or the Shell Parakeet. It is a small, long-tailed, seed-eating parrot and can live in captivity for as long as 8 years if cared for correctly. Wild, they can be found throughout the drier parts of Australia where the species has survived harsh inland conditions for the last five million years. The species was first recorded in 1805, and today is the third most popular pet in the world after the domesticated dog and cat.
I just got the information from wiki and stuff.Do you think I should add this paragraph into the descriptions of all my budgie videos? or Should the paragraph about budgies be unique to each budgie video? or at least the same info but re-written around?
Duplicated information is *bad*. YouTube wants videos that have unique content -- duplication can result in youtube discounting the metadata for *all* videos that share the information.
However, let's just look at this little blurb. So, in here, terms like "budgerigar" and "budgie" are only mentioned once. So, in terms of keyword density, it only appears once.
Secondly, those sorts of terms are only one word, so you might want to check to see how saturated this term is in search. I usually think that more specific terms are better than one-word terms.
For example, if I type in "budgie" in the youtube search, then I get autocomplete suggestions. These are PHRASES that people have actually searched for, so if those phrases are relevant to your video, then include them.
So for example, I see "budgie bird". If I type that, then I get more autocomplete suggestions, like "budgie bird talking" or "budgie bird care" or "budgie bird sounds". These are more specific terms -- but make sure they are relevant to your video. If they are relevant, I'd tailor your titles and descriptions to talk about these sorts of things.
