How long did it take you before you.....

A big key is definitely interacting with other creators. By interacting, I don't mean "check out my channel", but actually try to form friendships! Use Twitter and other social media to get to know them, take the time to watch their stuff, and if you actually enjoy it, subscribe and leave them some feedback, and most of the time, they'll check you out too :)

Let us know when you get that first hate comment! :p

Thanks for the info =) I will def let you all know Ha!

Engage with your viewers and then they might start commenting! A comment is even harder to get than a subscriber, believe it or not! Usually you will see the same people commenting on your content, at least, I do. Lately I have been getting an influx of new comments, which is always a good thing.

I started getting some comments on my videos about 3 or 4 days ago which was about 1 month from my first video but about a week or two from when I started uploading consistently.

A lot of the guys on here are right. It comes down to what you are doing when you are not making content. I know of a youtuber who makes amazing content which would blow me out of the water but he gets very little interactions. I asked him how his networking was going and he tried to act like he was of a higher youtube status than he actually is which was annoying. He was under the notion if you just make videos and nothing else then views and interactions will eventually come....THEY DON'T!

You've got to be as much a viewer as you are a content creator. Spend time every day looking at your subs box and see who has uploaded a new video. It's always better to spend time commenting on smaller youtuber channels as they will appreciate it alot more. If you spend time doing this on a regular basis and build up friendships then it's likely these creators will subscribe to you and comment on your videos when you upload them. I'm blessed that I get interactions on every video I do and it took blood sweat and tears to get it like that. I'm not big youtuber but I'm very happy where I am with my channel right now. Anything else is a bonus.

Yes i agree 100 percent

I seen that you mentioned that you do ask questions in your videos.

I didn't watch your videos to see how you implement this but I do suggest that you make it part of your normal presentation as if you are talking with your audience. There are quite a few YouTubers who put a question at the end of the video. This makes me feel like it's an afterthought or that we are being manipulated into commenting.

That being said, I get lots of views and people are less inclined to comment nowadays.

Yeah you are right, i always comment usually after watching a video but I will start asking more question in my next videos to see how it ends up working
