Movie Maker is the only decent free editor. However, Sony Movie Studio is like a cheaper dumbed down Sony Vegas editor, but it costs around $50, maybe cheaper on amazon

I've heard OpenShot 2.0 is about to be released for Windows 10. It's free and open source.

You could try Lightworks. They have a free 7-day license and a pro license. With the free license you get full editing options, but are restricted to exporting in mpeg-4 at 720p (which is just fine for youtube really). You just have to log back in to the application after the 7-day license expires.

Murk's top free video editing software:

  1. VIDEOPAD master's edition (This lets you render videos with higher resolution than 1080p and let's you render at 60fps)
  2. Lightworks
  3. See above

~~~~that's all I have....but those are really good though!
Good luck guys!!
