I make videos because I became a introvert ever since I started my job. Working a 9-5 job could be stressing and limiting. My friends entered me into a video competition for a old firm that I use to work for. I was quickly reminded how fun it was to create content again. How fun it was to connect with people and that I wasn't always this anti-social and awkward.

So I decided to make vlogs and make myself very uncomfortable. I'm starting to break away from my awkwardness and make it feel natural in front of a camera. But there's still much work to be done. I hope I could accomplish more than just vlogs though. Maybe make a few documentaries or some short films. Maybe even branch out of this 9-5 job. But this is a dream far from what I could actually reach.

Cheers!

I'm actually filming myself and my friends for a long time already (few years) , without any special topic, reason or goal, just to keep it as a memory in my phone. But it never became viral and whenever my friends want to laugh a bit they ask me for my phone to watch videos and remember some moments.

So therefore I have "some experience" and I went to High School for Photography.

However this particular vlog doesn't have to do anything with that because it is "Green" oriented, but trough this I can express my skills of filming, editing, sense, etc. :)

Interesting thread :)

I do YouTube in an attempt to help people smile and laugh. I also do it because its something fun. I do the content I do because it is stuff that I really love and enjoy doing either way, and this just gives me another outlet to have fun with it more

I started YouTube recently for several reason.

1) I got myself a video camera, and thought it would be a great way for me to experiment and learn filming and editing skills.

2) I read, watch, and listen to a lot of things based around productivity and success. One of the most common things is that you never see someone's beginning or middle, just the end when they become successful. I'm currently working towards several goals, and thought it would be great for me to see my progress, but also for other people to see that it takes time and a lot of hard work to become successful.

3) I'm not a confident person, especially in public. I've seen a lot of people, including the OP, talk about how YouTube has helped them gain confidence. I've heard this from a lot of the YouTubers I watch too, and thus thought that vlogging would help me in the same way.

I do it as something to keep me distracted :) I find it as a fun hobby to do and its helping me improve even a tiny bit on my social skills :p

Just joined this forum! Hi Everyone!

I do it because I love the content I make (health and fitness topics). And I do it because I want to offer something different from other fitness channels that only talk about random workouts and blog their daily routines. Just like to be different!

I youtube because it gives me a creative outlet that I need to try new things. It is also an excuse to indulge in my obsession with new technologies and new gear while learning new skills like editing, public speaking, and being care free and more confident with my short falls.

I'm an introvert but that is not why I make YouTube videos. I started making videos because I simply want to entertain people.
