I do it because I love to create. I love to express, and it is fun and amazing. It has not always been easy for me, but I feel like I am on the right track with what I am doing now. And that is saying a lot. It really has changed a lot about me, I love to produce things, to create them and now I can see that spilling into other parts of my life, too. Before, I didn't do anything like these, and now that I do, I just can't stop. This is what my heart desires.

It's a good way to share my interests on my channel. I try to be as original as possible but it's really hard trying to stand out. :/

as the title says what made you just suddenly say i know today i am going to upload a vieo to youtube...

personally i started youtube because i love to play games, entertain people but mostly try to put a smile on someones face when they watch my videos, the most important factor was that i need someone to laugh or at least smile when they see my video because if they didnt then i know im doing soemthing wrong and number two is the motivation and inspiration form other youtubers who put a smile on my face when i watch their videos and i want be the same like those guys.

what about you why do you do youtube?

I first started my channel so I could share videos with friends and family without having to send them a huge file every time. Once we got our first dog I became an active YouTuber after 4 years of no activity since my first 3 videos were uploaded. Again it was for the same reason, to share cute and funny videos with people. When I found out you can make money shortly after that, this is when I started concentrating on SEO, thumbnails, and promoting. The main difference money ever made for me is the way I promote my content, if I made 0$ I would still upload, I just wouldn't put so much time into promoting my stuff. So yeah, the main reason for me is basically that it's an easy way to share my videos with people.

I started YouTube to help provide and shine some light on the inner workings of Black Ops 3. I have watched YouTubers such as Drift0r and was really inspired by their methodical and technical approach to the game and how it works so I currently have given my own spin on it and have 85 subs after the first few months so I could say it is going well so far....I really want to connect with more people soi if anyone responds do HMU on twitter @VoidTranceHD and with a forum post

Have always been interested in doing videos, was always just too afraid to put myself out there. So new years was coming up and I decided if I didn't try getting started now I never would. Even bigger bonus is that I've rekindled my love for playing games again, and am trying out new ones all the time. Plus it is awesome to go behind the scenes and learn how all the big youtubers took their first steps from the same place. Puts it into perspective that even guys like pewdiepie, mark, jack septic, and all the other popular channels all started off with nothing. Plus it also got me into social networking which I've always stayed away from.

Oddly enough, because I started growing long hair. I watched guys who posted long hair videos during my first year of hair growth, and I was taking photos of my progress each day, so at the end of the year in 2014, I posted a video of all those photos, then some of the hair community guys told me I should post videos of my further progress, and then it just kind of snowballed from there.

This question has been asked several times on the forum and I would like to explain my answer in a little bit of detail:

Youtube has changed me. Before I began my channel early this year, I was an extremely camera shy person with a big inferiority complex. I was convinced to do this by another Youtuber who makes really good vlogs and is extremely comfortable in front of the camera. Being a Youtube personality really appealed to me and I wanted to give it a try not so much to be rich or famous, but to conquer my insecurities.

It was a big step for me because I didn’t quite know how to begin. I had a camera and a hobby but my biggest problem was, and sometimes still is, how to avoid getting tongue tied when the red light is blinking. My first few videos were awful. So awful that they never made it onto my Youtube channel. The first few videos that I did upload are better but still not great.

As I filmed more and more, the videos got better but I concede they still could use improvement. My very first uploaded video, which is my Homemade Doughnuts was the scariest because I filmed the first part of it in a public place (the gym) with a bunch of people, some I knew, others I didn’t standing around watching me. I planned it out a week in advance and even remembered a brief script in my head. I would recite the script out loud in my car while driving everyday until I got it right. It was a success. It was a huge step in overcoming the awkwardness we all feel about filming in public. I still go back and watch that video because I believe it was a turning point for me.

The biggest change is that the camera shyness is completely gone. In fact, I now love being in front of the camera and willing to do things I would never consider doing in the past such as dancing, wearing NO makeup, and acting like a clown. I can’t see myself not doing this because I’m really having so much fun now.

That is why I Youtube
Youtube is actually so great :)

Wonderful story!

I have answered questions like this before, and tried to be like views don't matter and all that and not sound like a douche.

Real answer is for views. I like to perform, whether or not I am good at it, and I would like some small degree of fame. Like a thousand subs or something. That would be cool. Don't really think there is much wrong with that. I enjoy making the videos too, planning, executing and editing. Really utilises every one of my interests too, from film school to chef school.

I do youtube because I play video games a lot and figured, Hey, why not share the good times and laughter with others? I also have always had an interest in video editing, cameras, and cinematography as a whole. It's lots of fun and even though I don't have a ton of subscribes, I still enjoy every minute of the video making process.
