The Cons of Joining Fullscreen

That's A LOT more then my buddy makes off them. I guess it all depends...
Keep in mind a lot dictates what your CPM ultimately is. It's not all up to Fullscreen. A lot of it is up to the content creator. You must retain your viewers (not drop off 30 sec into the video) for example. That's why it's different for everyone. In the end through a network like Fullscreen you will gain access to better/higher paying ads.

I know a guy who's CPM is only 2 dollars on average. You also must have a good deal with them since you have over 100k subscribers.

There isn't a deal to be made on CPMs with Fullscreen. Some networks can offer fixed CPMs but to my knowledge Fullscreen does not. I wouldn't benefit from such an arrangement, its usually less than you can make on your own. Of the guys I know doing that, I see them in the $4 range for channels much larger than mine. its a hedge against wildly fluctuating CPMs, something i dont have an issue with.

Again, most of the things that dictate your CPM are things you do as the content creator. Google has algorithms they use to determine such things and those are based on the performance of your videos.

You can negotiate your contract duration and the cut Fullscreen takes from you. My deal with them wasn't all that great when I signed, to be honest, but my contract is up shortly and I plan to renegotiate. In the end I feel as though Fullscreen is a good network for many channels. My channel topic isn't exactly a mainstream topic so I can't benefit from some of their marketing campaigns, so channels that have more mainstream topics can generally benefit even more from belonging to Fullscreen.

Biggest con of them all - You can make more money by your self. For most people getting even a 90/10 split will barely brake even with AdSense numbers.

Keep in mind this applies to almost all networks.

I was only making a 4 Dollar CPM, had to wait for Youtube to approve my video (So people who watched the video the day it was uploaded didn't get ads), and Youtube turned down a lot of my videos for monetization.

Just the thread that I was looking for. I have been offered a contract to join either Machinima or FullScreen Arcade. And as a gaming channel I really need to know if you are safe being with Fullscreen as a gamer or not? But after reading this thread it seems that Fullscreen doesn’t have any licenses with game developers is that right? It’s that Fullscreen is paying me a better cut then Machinima that’s why I am not sure what to do.

How would you do that?

I recently applied to CreatorX, as I think my channel is too small for Fullscreen, but I think that a partnership will definitely help with exposure and with CPM, because right now, my CPM is kind of terrible.

The split you get with AdSense by it self, is far greater, than AdSense Split + Partnership Split.

If I wasn't partnered right now, I'd be making a lot more money.
Then why are you partnered?
