How do some Youtubers get so many views/subscribers in a short amount of time?

1. They just have "it". That token "it" that makes a person hit that subscribe button and keep coming back for more. (content, looks, combination of both).
2. Good marketing, using social media to their advantage. Successfully.

3. Buying their way in, but those folks usually won't last long. Lots of views and subscribers mean nothing without proper interaction such as thumbs up / down and comments. And to get that I imagine one is spending a lot of dough.

LOL I think this just ended the thread actually. Spot on with all three.

I don´t search for something and stick to what i find first, and honestly, i don´t know anybody who does that. When i search for something, i actually give a try to several channels. I click the video, if i don´t like the first seconds, i don´t watch it and search for other videos. I don´t stick with something just because it came first in the search results.

I´ve checked out many newbie channels. Many, believe me. 99% suck a** and aren´t worth my time.

I don't know what to tell you. This is a known fact.

In searches, and admittedly this is Google but the same principle applies, 95% of the clicks go to the first page. You can claim that YOU dig deeper, but even if that's true that doesn't negate the fact that very, very few people venture beyond the first page when searching for things.

If you don't know anyone who does that, either you've never asked or you don't know anyone.

A huge amount of them are constantly posting comments on hundreds of YouTube videos a day to get attention back to their channels. Not all of them, but a good amount for sure.

It's down to who is watching your videos. If your a good looking late teen to early twenty something then you can get a fan base quickly as teenie boppers will just love you. Other than that, it's down to networking and making decent content. I've been making content for over four years and nothing can beat networking! Regularly checking out other small youtubers videos can help as there is a chance they will do the same in return. However this is on the condition you are being a human and not saying things like "hey, check out my channel!" Watch the video and make comments relevant to what you've just seen. That shows the creator you've actually connected with their video. If you regularly do this with our fellow tiny tubers they could return the favour and check you out. Not all people do this but some will.

Hope this helps.

Definitely agree with the teenie boppers thing haha. I'm in my late teens and I'm sort of decent-good looking I guess? haha and the biggest audience that my videos seem to attract are teenage girls...It's all about meeting the right demographic aha like I've got about 1500 views at the moment and 90 Subs and can expect usually 200 views per video at this stage of my Youtube career :)

And definitely connecting with others as well! A big one! Leaving comments (Not "Check out my Channel" comments) will leave a good impression on the community and many may return the favour :)

Hey!

I am usually a big fan of your posts. But I think you need to take a closer look at his channel. He has 12.4 k subs. Of all these subs (most of which he has gotten during the last MONTH!) only 1.6 k has seen his newest video which has been up for around 5 days now. That is almost as low as 10 % view rate. Which is especially bad considering he has gotten all the subs so recently.

So it is clear that something fishy is going on.

The reason I am writing this is because I see so many Youtubers getting discouraged when they see how fast some Youtubers have gotten subs. Which gives them unreasonable expectations. The truth is that a lot of the current newer growing Youtubers clearly cheat, by which I mean buy subs (and sometimes views). To make them look more popular than they actually are.

I hope I don't come off as someone who has been bitten by the jealousy bug. It's just such a shame that people get discouraged in this Youtube ''race'' due to cheats out there (And there are extremely many). As someone who spends a lot of time in the Youtube comment section I probably know more about upcoming Youtubers than most, and the sad truth is that a lot of the ''successful'' ones simply cheat.

I'll be honest, I didn't look at his SocialBlade stats - I only did a review of his channel (videos, channel art etc).

But you're absolutely right, looking at his SB stats, he's clearly either botted or sub4subbed for quite a lot of those subs. Or more likely he did some incentive for subbing like a shoutout or a giveaway. Example 12th January he got 428 new subs for only 1313 views which is a new sub for every 3 views which is obviously nonsense lol. I still stand by my review of his channel though, but I agree he hasn't earned all of those 12.4k subs. :)

Haha, anyone here remember the old days of the misleading thumbnails? When all that mattered was clicks, so people just made random stupid videos and put a picture of a hot girl as the thumbnail?
