Youtubers that also work full time in a completely unrelated job?

Time management is key! I'm a full time student working for my Masters in Applied Healthcare Informatics, work between, 30-40 hours a week in retail, have a girlfriend, and still am able to manage my YouTube channel. In up at 6:30am everyday and don't go to bed until around 12:00am. It may be tough sometimes but I enjoy it all and it's very rewarding. In the end what really matters is that you're enjoying yourself, having fun, and have something successful to show off that you had part in.

I study medical radiology at university and am currently on full time placement at the ED in a hospital which I think is completely different from my channel. Definitely super taxing on the body physically when combined with gym and YouTube but as others have said in the thread, it's all worth it :). Best of luck to all the other people also out there hustling

Working fulltime (42.5h) for an ISP as an IT specialist..

I scheduled my week so that I'm able to record at least on tuseday and thursday evening. If I find some time besides other daily live activities I also try to this time for the recordings. I would love to put in some more time in my videos, especialy in to the editing.

There are just some spare time activities which I simply don't want to miss because of the recordings (hang out with my wife or friends, longboarding etc..). So the only opurtunity to get some more recording/editing time I see is to reduce in my job. Unfortunately, switzerland or life in generally is quite expensive (depending on your standarts, expectations, preferences), and as long I am not able to make some money out of youtube, the step is very risky and needs a lot of courage.

It would be awsome if I could make a living out of youtube, but at the moments it's still utopistic.

I was wondering how other youtubers find this- how do you get the right balance and still manage to grow your channel?
Are there any benefits to working full time in an unrelated job?
I have found that the more I do, the better I get at making videos, plus the faster I can put them out. It is still tricky being able to hit deadlines, though. I am a district manager for an insurance company, so my time is VERY limited. However, I'm gaming all the time anyways, now I just record, edit, and upload.
As far as benefits, being in sales, I have spent years working on my voice. However, I'm not great at scripting speech, so I tend to ramble.
