Youtubers that also work full time in a completely unrelated job?

As someone with a computer science background, I'm constantly about efficiency. When I made my first video, it took me 12 hours. But I'm always asking myself, how can I make this process easier? With my first few videos I was like, ughh so what's the next step? But now I've written a 50+ step by step process which goes from everything between brainstorming -> step by step editing -> uploading -> tagging/descripts ect. -> Promoting. Now I can do everything in 5 hours without skipping things.

I think that's basically most of us here, unless you're still in grade school/high school or actually living off of Youtube. Youtube is fun and all, but bills need to be paid, rent needs to be paid, all that jazz, and sadly I can't really claim to be some Youtube superstar that can just kick back and let the money roll whenever I post a new vid. LOL

I work for county government, I tend to do most of my filming and editing on the weekend. It takes a couple of hours to do the filming then I edit the episodes as needed then get them uploaded for the week. I find it easiest this way so the rest of my week and nights is my own.

I work a fulltime job as a civil engineer and have a pet channel. Talk about unrelated :p I find it nice because i'm very analytical at work and can be creative in my channel. But the lack of time is very challenging!!

True! Lack of creative challenge is probably one of the worst parts of my job so its nice to have something that is creative going on!

I work in software development (the business side - not much of an engineer :D). The best part about my job is that most weeks are 40 hours, although there are some rough ones.

I'm trying to spend more time during the week, a little bit here, a little bit there, on prepping my videos and getting everything ready so when I have a good chunk of time to shoot I can do it. I don't like rushing Friday/Saturday to try and get a video up, not to mention I have to also work on getting ahead because I don't have every weekend free to do this.

I work in Information Security and love it. I make a nice salary with all the bells and whistles that come with working for a multi-billion dollar company. YouTube is for fun. I just like talking about movies and shows. I would love to make 6 figures doing YouTube, but I don't plan on it.

I work roughly 45 hours a week
Studying towards my CPA license / taking some accounting classes
I mostly work on my channel during the weekend. I do what I can during the weekdays.
Don't have as much time to be with my gf but she seems to be ok with it for now... haha

Me and my wife full time scientists and full time parents (two very energetic kids).
The only way around is too make the movies as simple as possible.
