WHO ELSE HATES SPAMMERS!!!

Tell me about it man! It happens though and there's not much you can do about it at the moment!

Just ignore/delete the comments or just keep them. I don't know if it helps having more comments n such.
 
Most of those comments end up in the SPAM box right off the bat, and they get deleted. If one goes trough by some miracle (seriously, the YouTube SPAM box is pretty darn good) it gets deleted. I dislike spammers with a passion. They don't realize that due to the nature of their message people DON'T want to interact with them at all.
 
It's disappointing seeing those sometimes...I get a notification someone actually left a comment and to see the
"hey cool video! Sub4sub??" just makes me sad... I'm more willing to check out a channel if the person actually leaves something relevant to the video.
 
YES! I agree I hate that don't promote yourself on my channel. Do it somewhere else it's another saying "your content sucks and mines are better. I use the two BBs blocked and banned to combat spammers
 
Drives me nuts as well. The thing that most people who do this don't seem to realize is that if they took the time that they put into writing these annoying comments and actually wrote a thoughtful, insightful or interesting comment, people may actually be more inclined to take notice of it and go look at their channel. They're hurting themselves far more than they are helping themselves.
