Twitter.... what do?

I have gotten 700+ followers in two weeks. I use 2 or 3 relevant #'s and also add retweet bots to my posts. Find some retweeting accounts and @xxxxxxx. For example I would use @gamerretweet and they instantly share your posts with like 30k of their followers.

No offence but I looked at your twitter account and it looks like you just mass followed people in hope they would follow you back. I am asking about building a fan base and community to talk to :/ but the retweet thing everyone is going on about is really good :3

I have over 20K followers on Twitter and just like your friend, all of my subscribers and growth(and views) have come from Twitter by following lot lots lots of people(followers of small and big Youtubers that makes similar video content as me) and DM(direct message) them to check out my YouTube channel(or new video) and subscribe and now I have nearly 3K subscribers on YouTube and most of my subscribers are active subscribers that watch, like, comment and share my videos!!

And by following lots of people on Twitter and DM them to check out my YouTube channel(or new video) and subscribe has really really really helped me grow on YouTube and getting people to watch my videos which is awesome!!

I'm starting to use twitter more, used to avoid it like the plague because I never really understood it. Now I quite like it

Make sure that you're not the account that posts nothing else but new uploads but also write interestimg and fun tweets.

Probably 70% of the tweets from popular YouTubers are about their what they're doing besides videos and 30% is about their channel and videos.

I may have got the numbers wrong but I think that you understand the idea lol

Honestly in the Gaming realm, people don't use Twitter to gain a loyal following. Until they get to 10k + views it has to be a lot of spamming and following. Simply put, it's a game of Follow4Follow. I'm simply trying to get my follow count up so I can be taken seriously and eventually you can turn that into a loyal base. The most loyal are the handful that will sub you.

The main reason I want 50k followers is not just for views. It's so business will sponsor me and send me samples to review. I get turned down regularly because my follow count isn't high enough. Hope that helps.

but then people that look at your account won't subscribe to you or follow you because they see that you have 1000 followers and are follwing like 13k people and they think he just spams. I am not going to get much out of this guy and just carry on

@Honkie_kun Just go on and talk to people. That is the best way to use twitter. I use it daily about random things. I'll often strike up conversations with people regarding the top trends. For example you say that when you looked one of the top trends was the new One Direction album. I saw that trend and replied to a few posts i found interesting/amusing, got some replies and ended up downloading one of the songs from it.

It seems i have a similar mind set to you. I don't go on twitter to spam follow people. I follow people i genuinely like and hope that people who follow me do it for reasons other than getting a follow back. In fact i actively avoid accounts that clearly have a F4F system in place and i know a lot of my friends do too. However even with a limited number of followers, i still get views to my videos. I advertise almost exclusively on twitter at the moment and link my videos to the people that created the games i'm playing. A few times i've had retweets from the studios regarding my videos. If you don't go in with insanely high expectations of getting hundreds of follows over night you might find twitter quite useful Also if you ever need help feel free to message me ^_^ I really love twitter lol XD
