Tips with using Facebook adds

The best workaround with facebook ads is to upload your presentation on facebook and push this video (don't forget to put up a link to your channel in the post. With clear call to action)

I have done a test last year, and upload my best compilation video (gaming channel) the video was short, funny and fast pace, put up a budget of 100€ for 7 days.

If you laughed during this video, share it :)
See you on youtube for even more videos :

The thumbnail is silly and the video quite funny.
1 million people were reached, 400K videos views... Keep in mind that views on facebook doesn't quite work like youtube. A view is count after 3 seconds AND there is the autoplay feature.

2.5k like, 300 comments (each comments were a mention of friends) and 200 share.

The good point was on my youtube channel, 4 days after the ads launched, I was getting 600 subs a days (decreasing progressively to 300 subs 2 days later).

To be honest the process is easy but may be expensive. I could afford it, as the channel revenue is re-use for the channel itself.
The ad works if the videos is really good (well at least by your public standard).

According to the numbers, facebook ads seems effective, I couldn't recommend it though. You have to make a really great videos otherwise you will spending money into the void !

I can not thank you enough for the effort you just put into that comment! That was so helpful! I will make sure to try and copy what you did in the future. I might wait a little longer till I have more videos that reflect my channels values more before I throw a larger amount of money at facebook.

600 subscribers a day though, thats incredible. Its nice to know that it really can work if you organise yourself correctly.

I only threw 10 bucks at it to see how it would go
Wow, $10 for only 6 likes, makes you wonder if advertising is even worth it.

Unless you get better results by spending more money, like $10 gets you 6-10 but like $100 gets you 1000. IF not I don't think I'll ever bother with facebook ads

Facebook really doesn't like YouTube because they want to make people upload their stuff on FB (which is not a good idea if you're a creator cause you don't gain anything from it). Also, people who watch your YT video on facebook will probably not click on it and check out your channel. Instead they will just keep scrolling their timeline.

If you are not going specifically going for brand deals on Facebook you are mainly interested in how well Facebook views transform into YouTube views and from all I know this rate is pretty bad. It sounds to me as if views from AdWords are a lot cheaper (you can pay as little as 0.01 per YouTube view) and you can really cut down your targets. By choosing your ad group well i.e. setting demographics and interests you can really achieve a good subscriber rate as well.
