I defo see that i am a little nervous because of some wierd tics that i don't usally have like wierd eyebrow movements or blicking :D but I don't think it's to bad for the start ... While editing you can see of these things and then the next video will better because your aware of it. pratice makes perfect I guess .... if you watch other youtubers first videos and then months/years afterwards you can tell how they have improved. Just don't give up and believe in yourself!! :)

I'm having the exact same problem. Although, if you watch my first few videos compared to my latest upload I'm really starting to improve. Slowly but surely. I look back on my first couple uploads and cringe, but i *Laugh in cringe*. Hopefully soon I will be able to talk to the camera as if its my best friend as some people are saying.

I heard you can but a foto of a friend/partner/family near the xamera and pretend to talk to them. or someone mentioned putting someome on skype and muting yourself. havent tried this so could say if it works but who knows it might help

I would say practice makes perfect. When I first put myself in front of the camera and watched it back I'm like... dang I'm so boring and emotionless haha I reflected on that and end up relaxing and just let myself go and the more videos I create the more easier it is to talk to a camera. I get that it's weird because essentially your talking to yourself
Hehe this is how I felt too when I first started making my videos because the videos are about my 2 year old son I had to do most of the talking and narration. Hehe I thought how boring.. but after some practice you do get better.[DOUBLEPOST=1478638056,1478637956][/DOUBLEPOST]

This is a great idea! Will have to try and see if it works. But it makes sense on how it could possibly make you feel more comfortable because your actually looking at a face.

Idk if this would help much, but for me, I have to get a topic I can really sink my teeth into and really like. Then, after brainstorming how I'll do the video, I get pretty pumped for Manning the video and bam. That's how I get me in my videos and not another stereotypical YouTuber
